Works as expected and is solidly built. The included USB-C cable is also of good quality. Be really, really careful removing the Phillips screw on the back to install your ssd. It is torqued really tight and is very small and very easy to strip. Ideally, removing the back plate should be tool less or they should have used a better screw. Also, they include an extra screw to hold the ssd down but not another one for the backplate.I have a cheap Silicon Power 2230 ssd inside and even after running it for hours, I don't see any degradation in performance. I have noticed that even when it is just plugged in it gets warm after a few minutes. When I am writing or reading data it gets quite hot but I don't see any performance degradation with the installed drive.It comes with a little silicone case that also holds the included cable but you have to remove it in order to plug the drive in, so the case adds more annoyance than practicality. You also get a couple of adhesive metal rings for the magsafe.
