Brilliant little notes of citrus without any citrus. Excellent flavor enhancer on roast meats and veg. If you eat hummus this is an excellent topper. Still trying on so many different things. There is a reason why this is such a common ingredient in so many kitchens in the middle east. Read up on the health benefits as well, very impressive.

Additionally, I enjoyed mixing it into yogurt to make a dip and even sprinkling it on popcorn, which turned out surprisingly tasty. Ok, look, I have one issue: I got this and realized it will take me 50 years to use this much sumac unless I try hard. So keep that in mind unless you already know EXACTLY what you're gonna do with it. That said: this is packaged and sealed well so when I opened the bag it smelled great and ready to use. If you've never used sumac, it has a lightly citrus-like flavor that does wonders sprinkled on fish, which is my primary use for it (it is my secret ingredient and always gets a great response). I can't speak to other uses - I've never tried any, which is why, again, this is WAY more than I need. But the price per ounce is pretty excellent, so if you DO think you'll use a lot of it...well, here you go. A lot of it. All for you.

Has not taste except stale and old. Zero flavor or spice to it.
