Product worked as advertised and good quality in relationship to cost.
Received the product within the promised delivery date. Product worked as advertised both with USB 2.0 and 3.0 ports and with older routers (802.11 g and n) as well as newer routers (802.11 ac). Product is of a good quality especially based on the cost to quality and functionality perspective. Installation was easy and device was compatible with Windows 7, 8 and 10. Setup in Windows 10 using a laptop with built in WiFi adapter permitted the laptop to have 2 wireless networks available both of which were running at the same time thus you have to be sure and turn one of the wireless connections off. Was able to connect an older laptop to a 802.11 ac network and get approximately 40 mbs capability download and 8 mbs upload.

Awesome product!
Simple to install and use. Took me about 10 minutes to set everything up. You can use this in your laptop as a WiFi amplifier or use it in a desktop computer to emit WiFi. Love this product!

Good adapter - may not improve speed or distance.
This is a well built antenna that is very long. The entire length is over 10 inches but you can bend 3inches in to 90deg. This makes it not very convenient to use with a laptop.I tested this on my Surface Pro 4 sitting on my back porch. I was initially concerned because a small cd came rolling out of the box. The Surface Pro (and many other laptops now days) dont have a CD drive. I plugged in the adapter to my Surface Pro running Windows 10 and the drivers installed imediately and automatically without the need of a disk. I later read in the manual that you can download the drivers from the internet as well.As far as performance goes this leaves a lot to be desired. Sitting on my back porch I compared the adapter to the wifi of my Surface Pro and it performed at best 25% but consistently up to 50% worse than the Surface built-in wifi. Also it did not seem to extend the range of my signal either. Both adapters showed 3/4 bars. See pictures for speed test results.Due to the larger size of this adapter and the mediocre performance I don't think I will be bringing this along with my Surface to help with range or speed. With that said, this adapter will still be put to use. I have a desktop in the garage that could use wifi and although this adapter is slower it still provides sufficient speeds for most basic tasks such as streaming videos, gaming email etc..Although this adapter doesn't improve speed or range of your built in wifi, for the price it would be a good buy for adding wifi to a computer that doesnt already have it. For that reason I would only recomend purchasing this if your computer doesnt already have wifi, you have a very old computer that cant connect to a 5ghz signal or if your current wifi adapter is broke. I would NOT buy this to try and get a better signal than what you already have or for a laptop/tablet that is intended to be portable.

Driver not functioning, annoying flickering
The program on the mini-CD installed the driver and utility on my machine, as did the program from the .iso file when I downloaded it to check and see if that would install any different. The system tray icon for the utility just displays the adapter as "is disable" and in the window for the utility program it sets the adapter to be disabled by default. Such a thing would not be a problem if the adapter itself didn't flicker on and off. I reinstalled them several times, restarted my computer several times, I tried administrator privileges, compatibility modes for all the different windows versions, and different USB port versions to no avail. The utility program I got had significantly less options then the one in the videos(disable and accept virtual WiFi were my only 2), and I could not even save the setting to make it not disable the adapter by default. I made sure that the power options were correct and checked in device manager that the drivers were installed in the correct version. In a last ditch moment of desperation I loaded up the offline version of Windows Troubleshooter and it basically said that the drivers were failing. In short I got more gameplay out of this failure of an adapter then I did from Fallout 76.Nah, but rly I want my money back. The good reviews have pictures of a different adapter then the one I got. Feelsbadman.jpg

Need to use CD
Purchased for a desktop that didn't have a CD drive. Didn't realize you had to insert a CD to use. I gave it to my son and he said it works well for his laptop.

it's trash
It worked fine for a few weeks, until it died. Spend a little more on something better, or regret it.Edit: this shady company also tries to buy off honest, bad reviews. Their warranty only applies if you change your rating to 5 stars and praise this garbage ass company.
