Easy to apply
Easy to apply and used a standard good quality 2 inch woodwork brush to apply. Product poored into a small paint kettle with lid. Used on a new build fence that had discoloured within a year. Result was good. Applied 2 coats and its brought fence back to life showing a natural look and wood knots. I used the clear colour. Some panels were sun exposed so applied an extra coat. Can see the water repellent effective. Delivery was not through Prime so was not next day but product was well packaged. My only advice is order more than you need as it soaks in immediately and you need 4 days without rain forecast to do 2 coats.

High quality wood treatment with a great finish
I bought this to match the treatment on my new shed and it blended in perfectly. The colour is spot on and the coverage is very good. It goes on smoothly and the finish looks high quality, giving the wood a nice even coat. It also seems to offer solid protection, which is exactly what I wanted for outdoor timber. I’m impressed enough that I plan to buy more to treat my entire fence. For the price, the value for money is excellent considering the amount you get and the quality of the result. Dries pretty quickly, it came be quite strong fumes so make sure you're in a ventilated area.

Waterproofed paint
Very runny, but seems ok. Dries clear cannot see it has been done. Hope it protects the wood on my summerhouse

Excellent oil based product
This appears at first use to be an excellent product. I purchased the Clear preservative to coat a new rough sawn fence which was required after storm Eowyn. As of today I have coated a 15m fence on one side with approx 4 litres of the product. It soaks in well and is easy to apply. Has a minimal odour and appears to be both a light solution which penetrates the wood panels well giving them a natural light golden appearance. I have applied various products over the years to fences and this is by a mile the easiest to apply with a basic fence brush. I intend to apply 2 coats so I purchased 15litres in total but suspect that 10 will suffice to allow a spare for touch ups if required. I expect that when dry it will protect the wood from the rain which we get plenty of. Brushes are easily cleaned in white spirit although I would recommend buying a cheap plastic bucket in order to pour product into for application. Update: I have now completed both sides of fence with 2 coats and of 15 litres I have used about 12 in total as it soaks in very well to new wood. The clear leaves a mellow colouring but allows wood knots and all to show through. I would recommend this product because of its ease of application, finished look and protective properties which I hope will last for quite a few years.

Quality wood treatment
Great product, easy to apply with a great look. Dried very quickly in the recent hot spell and finishes the garden off nicely.

Top Quality Wood Protective Treatment
We have been using Barrettine Wood Protective Treatment on our products for the last few years, and we can recommend it. The light brown colour seems to be the most popular and it is the shade that we use the most. It really brings out the wood grain and improves the look of outdoor furniture, and it helps to protect the wood for up to a year, before it needs to be re-applied. It is easy to use, dries quickly and your paint brushes can be cleaned easily in warm soapy water as it is water based. We have tried other Wood Protective Treatments but in our opinion this is the best.

Money well spent
Yep, as others have said. You get what you pay for. I’ve used ‘own brand’ from Screwfix before on some decking and it absolutely stank (really strong smell). This stuff does have a mild smell but nowhere near the own brand stuff. I used 1 x 5ltr tin to do 2 coats (with 24hrs between coats). It basically like painting with water. Goes on super easy with a wide brush and you can visibly see it soaking into the wood which will give the protection once dry. Hasn’t rained yet (thankfully) but I’m fully confident the water will bead off. (I will update here if there is an issue!)

Top quality product
Yes its more expensive than similar products but boy the finish is truly amazing. Had a new quality shed door fitted and as advised waited 3 months for the wood to acclimatise then gave it 3 Coates and the end result is so deep and rich. Very thin (like water) so ensure you place protection on the floor prior to painting To be very very highly recommended.
