METER STAR Grill Igniter Kit AA Battery Two Exits with Spark Plug Wire Length 1 Meters Long (Two Electrodes)

Had a problem with the peizo igniter on a Thetford oven and grill in our motor home. It would intermittently work and then not work. It had been back to the supplier but each time they could not find a fault. Just like having toothache and then going to the dentist.I decided to purchase this unit to replace the peizo igniter.I needed to widen the mounting hole, which took all of 2 seconds with a cone drill. The original electrode prob connections was exactly the same connectors. So just pushed on without any effort. The whole job was done is no more than 5 minutes.Button is slightly bigger that the peizo button. But the operation is a 1000 times betters and a lot less noisy. All we will do is at the start of each season simply replace the AA battery and it will be good for a full season. Operation is simple Turn the gas on and press the button on the igniter with one press until the burner lights. It works perfect every time.One word of advise. Do not be tempted to try/test the operation of the unit until its connected - it packs a real kick.

I bought a hob for my camper van - which disappointingly didn't have electric ignition. I wondered if this might be a good option?I drilled three holes in the hob, fitted this and now the burners ignite easily.You need to bend & trim the electrodes, taking care not to break the ceramic insulator - but it's easy enough with two pairs of pliars.I generates a spark up to about an inch long - but ignition is most reliable with a spark 1/8 to 1/4"

My hobby is live steam garden railway. I was experiencing a big problem lighting the gas burner on a model loco and fast running out of options, and so decided to give this product a try. This really was a eureka moment and I'm delighted with the result. 100% reliability every time in firing up, previously unheard of. Best thing since sliced bread.

Gas fire piezo failed, couldn't use match to light as gas/coals are behind glass, manufacturers replacement unit was a crazy price...purchased this, fitted within half an hour, fire now lights first click every time. Brilliant bit of kit!
