Brilliant, easy to use
Ok, so to start with i'll admit i'm not great at diy, but waiting for my hisband to board pur loft would take an age...so after some research, these seemed like the best things to use whilst being able to put more insulation into our attic ready to (hopefully) have a warmer house for winter! I just started in one corner and went on from there...so easy to screw them into the joists and then to screw to boards into (make sure you get the 18mm thick chipboards which are 1220 by 607(ish)...not the smaller tongue and groove loft boards which would mean you using so many more of the legs!). Easy peesy! :)

Worth every penny
Excellent item strong and sturdy easy to fit well worth the money tried to screw down by hand without doing pilot holes in legs first only did 7 and got blisters . So advise to you to drill pilot holes in legs first a pain i know but makes it so much easier and quicker to fit and use an electric screw driver, ensure you put screws in at an angle , I used 40ml length screws this was ample enough to hold strong, 4 screws per leg, my beams were 17inches apart and i used three legs per beam per 6ft x 2ft boards, that's putting edges of board half way on end legs to ensure you can fit another board flush and one leg in the middle of board for extra support, then screwed boards to top of legs, i used 18ml mdf boarding and its very safe to walk on I am a 60 year old women and managed to complete my loft on my own , would have been so much easier if i didn't need to lift and cut insulation and move stuff i had stored out of the way, DO USE A MASK

Did the job perfectly
After adding some more insulation in my loft I needed to raise the floorboards up so as not to crush the new insulation. These loft legs were just the trick and proved quite easy to use, I simply used Reisser Woodscrews which are in themselves excellent, and screwed them down onto the joists. Then laid the boards on top and then screwed down through the boards into the legs again. They've been in use for 4 years now and they take my weight easily without a single one breaking or coming loose.I probably could have done it cheaper with blocks of wood but these made the job so much easier and quicker. Please click the helpful button below if you found my review in any way useful.

Excellent product for increasing insulation thickness and creating a storage area in loft
Despite having issues with the seller initially posting the wrong item, these Loftlegs are an excellent item. Very easy to install once you have pre-drilled the holes in the leg base. The new loftboards feel very sturdy on top of these legs but you have to screw the boards on to the top of the legs, as per the included instructions. I staggered the positions of the legs from rafter to rafter to improve stability. I used 200mm Knauf Eko roll insulation which was perfect for this new gap and 30mm x 4mm Turbodrive wood screws. The photo shows the loft part way through the install.

Great product and a cost effective way to put flooring ...
Great product and a cost effective way to put flooring in a loft space and keep the insulation. You'll need a cordless electric drill screwdriver and I'd suggest partly pre-drilling self tapping screws into the stilts before putting them in place then it's just a quick zip zip and the leg is fitted and ready for the boards. Also remember to place the legs at the joints of the of the boards so that you can use the leg to holds the boards together rather than them slipping apart.

No need to drill pilot holes.
Excellent product. No need to drill pilot holes as some people have said. I used a cordless screwdriver and just sank them into the beams. No effort at all. Was able to walk on them no problem as I moved about the loft shifting my tools and other loft boards etc. I made a wooden frame to run on top of the beams that run along the walls. I made the frame the same height as the loft legs. Meant i got no wasted space. I done this because you have to put 2 scews behind the loft leg and the walls prevent from doing so. If you are unsure, just watch the youtube videos.

Every now and then one starts writing a review for a mundane product and doesn't know how to get across just how great it is!
Every now and then one starts writing a review for a mundane product and doesn't know how to get across just how great it is!This has literally changed my family's life with regards to how we store things. I've used dozens of these in our loft. Very easy to screw into using a Bosch cordless combi-drill. Lay some insulation down for good measure then the chipboard straight on top. Fantastic product, British made from recycled materials too. Don't know how to say anything more positive about it...!Photos to follow...

Very good product
Seem to do the trick and seem very strong. My only gripe with them is it's not easy to drill them straight to joists so fond it much easier to drill pilot holes first....Not a big problem but still time consuming. Otherwise would have got 5 stars
