Good, but keep in mind it's cheap (also wall hugging)
Extremely easy to assemble, just slide the back rest into place and it's done, literally secondsRecliner footrest is definitely hard to put back into place. Not a deal breaker but annoying enough that it turns the process of reclining into ordeal...On the plus side, it reclines in two parts, so you can use the footrest with only a few inches between the sofa and a wall. To fully recline horizontally you'd need more space, at least a foot or two.The material is excellent, microfiber "leather", which means it looks like leather from a far, but feels like soft microfiber cloth (and doesn't get as hot)Much better than the fake leather most of these come with, but don't expect it to feel like a normal leather chair either. The box is too heavy for one person to lift, but can be slid into place, keep that in mind when you order it (have it dropped off near where you want it if you don't have help)Long term is still in question. This is cheap on the scale of recliners, I'm using it as an everyday chair and hoping it lasts a couple of years max.I don't see it standing up to any sort of abuse like jumping into it, but it's also cheap enough that shouldn't have. I suspect if you treat it carefully it will last long enough-Update: Figured out why some reviews say the recliner is fine and some say it's too hard!On hardwood and low carpet the sofa frame will shift *just* enough to keep the recliner from going in. The legs of the sofa are a very slippery plastic!Use some furniture grip pads and it'll be perfect. Immediately after attaching them the recliner became so easy to use

Sadly, it's just meh NOT wow!
Easy to assemble, large and overall a nice chair. Very roomy and doesn't "look" cheap, however, I'm disappointed with the thin cushioning. The arms are hard, almost straight on wood with no cushion. Also, the foot rest is very hard and also lacks cushion. Works as a comfy enough lounge chair for brief moments. Unfortunately, not comfy enough for long cozy snuggles which is why I bought it in the first place.

AMAZING!
Absolutely LOVE this! Came exactly when expected and all in one box. Easy to assemble—literally all you do is attach the back to the base(no tools needed). Fits 2 average size adults comfortably. Myself(almost 5ft), my daughter(5’2), 3yr old and 1yr old all sit on it together comfortably lol. Fits my husband(6ft), 7yr old, 3 and 1yr olds comfortably all at once also. Just for some reference on how much seating potential is available with this thing, especially with its small space surface consumption. Seat cushion is a little stiffer, but I like that aspect-plus it’s already softening up a tad. The back rest is soft yet holds shape. The “slate” color is perfect and doesn’t give a “blueish” hue which I appreciate, especially when some companies version of “slate” is more of a Dark blueish Jean color. The fabric is like a cross between microfiber and leather type of materiel and smooth/soft to the touch. I seriously love everything about this piece! Definitely a MUST BUY!

Comfortable and good for value, but seriously lacks in strength of materials.
While this couch is comfy and suits our needs, I am not impressed by it's sturdyness. It is now 3 months since purchase and the backing wood at the bottom of the headrest snapped in half, causing you to sink into the center no matter where you sit and exacerbating the problem. We do not throw ourselves into the couch either, so shoddy materials is the likely culprit. I will have to repair this myself to continue to use it comfortably as I am out of the return period. The latch for the footrest is also certainly strong as others have stated. It takes a good swing of the knee to close from sitting, which could be an issue for anyone with lower body difficulties. Even as a fit person, it still takes about 20lbs of force to swing the spring enough to latch.I would have bought this couch if it were $75-$100 cheaper, but I question whether I would now knowing what I do. Slate is beautiful and comfy fabric, but wood frame planks are only 1/2" thick.

Totally worth it
Purchased this item last year during a Prime Day sale. Needed a recliner for a larger sized person that wouldn't break or bend. This item has worked great for several months now. Good quality and comfort.

Broken in less than a month , piece of trash
Listen to the bad reviews , piece of crap , frame already broken in less than 1 month , chair wont go down without a fight . My palm of my hands split open, arm muscle torn from fighting to get this down. Im handicapped and over 400 pounds , bought this because it said was tested to support up to 800 pounds , bs . I couldnt rebox and send back because again im disabled so I basically threw my money away on this chair . Had to call the fire dept non emergency number to help me out of the chair because leg area wldnt go down w the broken frame. So embarrassing. Never buy this brand , horrrible.

Not worth my money
I'm 5'11, 238 lbs. and at day one I find that the seat cushion lacks support for my body type. The weight capacity for the recliner is 250lbs. The seat cushion sinks in the center of the recliner when I'm not reclined! The recliner states it's a two seater but not at my size but it's very roomy.I'm highly doubtful this recliner will support my body at my current weight. The durability is highly unlikely. The headrest is the perfect height to support my head but lacks neck support!I find myself having to change my head position constantly! The lumbar position is perfect for my body. There are two recline positions which are the best features of the recliner. In the recline position it's comfortable. My shins rest on the footrest with my ankles and feet hang over the edge. However to put the footrest position down it's impossible for me! I have to stand and push in with my hand to restore recliner to an up right position.

Good value for your money.
This chair is just what I was looking for. Easy to assemble and very affordable compared to other oversized chairs. However, it’s not so comfortable. It’s somewhat stiff and hard. But it fits me and my grandkids or me and the dog and cat comfortably! A throw pillow and lap blanket make it cozy. Surprisingly sturdy .
