Aly's excellent and groundbreaking work investigates the German medical profession and it's relationship with Nazism. It specifically deals with the Nazi euthanasia program. While the German people in general have never faced up to their past a few historians like Aly have done an excellent job in researching and presenting the facts not to mention asking the uncomfortable questions like whatever happened to the doctors who enthusiastically participated in the euthanasia program after the war.
