It's great if you plug in the inside unit-
If you want to see it without touching it from a distance as I do, you need to plug it in and you can set the back light how you want. It's bright and easy to see. If you put them side by side, the outside and the inside unit sometimes they read the same temp and others 1º-2º difference with the inside being warmer and the inside one doesn't jive with other units I have inside. The outside temp appears accurate so far. I wish I could adjust it so the inside temp is accurate oor if the outside wasn't, if I could adjust it, that would be nice. It can be used to predict weather and a host of other things I'm don't care about. I want to know the outside temp, windspeed, and humidity primarily and the direction if that part ends up working correctly. It hasn't on 2 other brand name ones and my mechanical wind vane spins and doesn't help. I'm not counting on it as where they get mounted, the wind gusts and can become circular. I do have one suggestion, they should include a cap to cover the rain gauge for those of us who get wild weather. Our weather will simply destroy it with freezing rain, imo. I plugged it the hole with silicone but it only goes on with the dish down. I'll have to block it off with some kind of cap so it doesn't get frozen and break. It appears well made, but it's not made to take our wild weather and I'm not spending gobs just to have that. I can see how much it rains in a container. The rest of the unit I absolutely love. There's TINY screws that hold the wind and direction vane you have to tighten during assembly. You'll likely drop them as I did. No worries, they gave me 6 extra even though I found them. This is not a unit to be assembled by those who lack dexterity. They provided a nice little screwdriver with a rubber type handle that worked just dandy on the tiny screws. For the larger screws for the post mounting, I used my own tool. Now- it has a built in level bubble- cool feature, imo. I also used MS 5 locknuts for the bracket mount instead of the included ones for the post to bracket connection because of the wind vibration it will endure. Included mounting screws were too short, BUT my 2" 1/4 drive roofing screws with steel & rubber washers worked perfectly. It is built solid. I checked the windspeed inside with a mini-air gun used to clean keyboards & etc and it worked fine. Note tho- it doesn't send the info instantly, it delays it a little which I tested by increasing the air and decreasing it....it went to 66 mph spinning it like crazy. The Atomic clock sets when you follow the included instructions. It's fancier than I need. The solar should have a battery for it instead of relying on only 3 AA batteries as a backup. If there's one in it, I couldn't tell. You do have to set it to your time zone. CAUTION- access to install the 3 AA batteries is TIGHT. the little lock slide MUST be moved all the way. Then I had to use a pocketknife to carefully pop the cover loose without breaking it. It's better built than the 2 LaCrosse ones I have set in different locations. I REALLY hope this one lasts because I really like it and how well it's built. I'm hoping to get 5 years out of it before the solar panel pukes.

Good value Weather unit
Easy to assemble. Functional weather station. Instructions help in screen menu setup, time set, etc. time will tell as far as battery life. Would be helpful to have a remote battery corded accessory (like a Acurite unit) for high up mounting of the weather unit. Overall a nice unit

Great Weather Station
Great weather station. Easy to set up. Has good range. Lots of options to choose from to customize the display. Display is a nice size, easy to read. It is laid out nicely so that it is not confusing or overwhelming to read. Has a nice battery back up so if you lose power you do not lose your data. There are multiple tools for a variety of options on how you want to secure it outside. Definitely would recommend, very happy with the purchase!

Could be better, but okay for the price
I have been using this weather station for 3 weeks now. Works pretty well but could be better. Issues I have with it are the darker orange color of the outdoor temperature on the display is hard to see in bright daylight hours, on windy days of 20 mph the rain measures rain fall when there is none. I suspect it is vibrating from the wind and the rain sensing part inside is picking that up. And the last issue is the wind reading seems to be off. It will read 10 to 15 mph wind at a 3 to 7 mph actual breeze although at higher winds like 15 to 20 mph and above it seems accurate and at 1 and 2 mph it seems accurate. There is no calibration adjustments for any settings. All in all not bad for the price, but when I replace this one I will spend the extra $ for a better one.

The solar panel does not charge the batteries. You will be replacing batteries more than you think.
I have had two of these identical units and both failed, one after about a year and the other only lasted 3-4 months. They disconnect from the base station and will not reconnect, even after installing new batteries in the sensor and the base station, they would not pair again. I followed the instructions in the manual but nothing worked. The big problem with his station is that the solar panel does not charge the batteries, it only runs the station during the day to save the batteries. This means the batteries will die rather quickly and you will be taking it down to replace them. If you mounted it high, that will be a pain. I ordered another Vevor weather station (the one that actually charges a battery pack via the solar panel), if it fails, I'm done with Vevor weather station.

It's got some issues but once its set up it should be fine.
Would give 3.5 if I could, not really bad enough to give 3 but more issues than I would like for 4. I have had lots of connection issues, even with it being very close together. So far so good with the latest batch of batteries (for the outside unit at least). I started with my rechargeable batteries I use in everything, they are good name brand batteries with a fresh charge and after about a day or 2 I start having connection issues. If I go out and remove and reinsert the same batteries it would reconnect for a couple days and repeat. I tried cheaper non rechargeable batteries and had the same issue. I went and bought the expensive name brand high tier batteries and it seems to work ok now. Though if it was killing the other batteries as fast as it seems I'm not gonna keep feeding it these things every couple weeks, between the waste and cost it would be a bit much. The inside unit refuses to update day and time, it took a week last time to update and it has been 3 days this time so far. Ever the manual update button doesn't help. It is very easy to use and read even in direct light as long as the back light is on. The always on backlight requires it to be plugged in, and imo it needs it always on. The assembly and mounting was easy and straightforward, no real complaints there. I mounted it to the top of an old bird house pole in the back yard. The pole mount has a bunch of mounting options. Both units are visually appealing, not overly obtrusive or bulky.

This is the one to buy!
Really like this unit, great display! So much better than Acurite Iris, had a few of them never lasted & crap customer service! Vevor so much of a better deal.

Great weather station
I had a Bresser one before this and it was rubbish. This one is much better; better built, easier ser up and a nice bright display. Be warned that the display must be plugged in. The battery is just a back up.

Good colour display
Ordered the VEVOR weather station from Amazon as the price was so good and my other weather station had lost three of its functions - they always seem to start losing channels after a few years service - I have not been without a weather station for over 23 years so I know the pitfalls. This new outside unit is built very well and the wind speed / wind direction ball bearing sets are well protected against water ingress lwhich often causes the bearing’s to rust so that’s a plus - the solar panel seems well made so it should stand up to being cooked in the summer and frozen during winter. The rain gauge has the usual problem that every unit has - Spider ingress. The female spider lays her eggs in the crevices and the little critters being so small when they hatch out crawl into any water holes used to get rid of the water from the inside of the rain gauge - it’s becomes then becomes a spider castle inside - and as they grow the webs stop the tipper that measures the rain quantity from moving so you end up with no rain measurement and with all units of any price it’s time to remove the top of the rain gauge and give it a clean to get out the spiders webs and make the bigger critters homeless. A necessary evil of every weather stations I ever had… Thus remember to ensure that when you mount your weather station outside you WILL need to service it to clean out spiders webs and change batteries (I strongly recommend using lithium batteries outside). Last tip - don’t install your unit on top of a chimney is not a viable option… Hope this helps others. Regards Peter Only thing I can’t comment on yet is the transmission distance from the outside unit to the indoor display. Past experience has shown me that the manufacturers specifications on this matter can be very unsatisfactory - this unit transmits on 868MHz which may / may not be better as usually they are transmitting on a lower frequency. Fingers crossed but I must admit I’m impressed. - Thumbs up from me. UPDATE AFTER A FEW WEEKS WORKING… Have to say it’s great and never lost radio transmission / reception once which was my main concern. Display is good and clear. Radio sync clock is good but when the clocks change to BST I’m not too clear how to adjust it as the manual is not too clear. All gauges work well and for the money I would recommend this model to all - this must be my eighth weather system I’ve had over the past 40+ years and this one represents the best value for money I’ve had. Great deal.

Good price point for the product.
Seems good so far. Read the directions, push the buttons, get familiar with it. No problem with switching between F & C. Barometer displays hpa I'm familiar with kpa. 980 hpa is 98 kpa. It also displays sea level (absolute) and relative (hpaa). Temp, wind, rain all have multiple displays. Wireless range is good, got it at ~150'. Really nothing to complain about.

Good value Weather Station
After comparing several weather stations, I decided to try the Vevor as it appeared to be good value for money. The inside display is very clear and appears to give accurate readings when compared with other data. It connected to the outside sensor unit within seconds and the atomic clock within 5 minutes. The outside sensor unit is solid construction and was quick to assemble following the easy, quick setup guide. The only concern I do have is the ball and socket system to attach the unit to the pole, whist a good idea to enable leveling the unit, the instructions say that tightening the 4 screws would hold it together, however when I did this the sensor unit was still loose and moving around. I overcome this by placing sticky velco strips in the joint which does hold it tight, only time will tell if it is a long term solution. Overall I am pleased with my purchase, but have marked it down because of the loose fitting. Update 10/11/25 - unfortunately the rain measurement has stopped recording, so am returning unit. It is pity as the rest of the measurements/readings appear to be accurate.
