My family has done it, we do try and leave it together. 8 year old can do it now on her own. It was difficult at first but we like it. I'm not sure if the collar bones were put back on but oh well.. dont buy if you want something super simple!

No, none of the parts and pieces are squishy, but they do not fit together in an easy fashion. I consider this model of the human torso to be a complete waste of money. There are many other, far better models, you can choose from. Thank you for asking your question.

would this be advisable for adult learning as well?

The scale was so small it was difficult for a child. I would not recommend it for an adult either.
