Get Heavy Gauge Strings
So you've probably noticed that all the tabs on this album have been banished from the internet, and that's why you're here considering buying this book. This book is worth the 20 dollars because even the best tabbers don't usually get down to all the intricacies in a song. Well this is the album exactly, even with the large amount of guitar layering Brendon Small uses. You're going to have to tune your guitar down to c to get the right tone so make sure to get thicker gauge strings. This book is good for moderate to advanced players of guitar, the solos really take some close listening and practice with the metronome to get perfect. I enjoy using this book for practice, I especially recommend learning the chorus of Laser Cannon Death Sentence for a good alternative picking work out. If you like Dethklok and guitar buying this book simultaneously enables you to support Brendon Small and play along to some of his most advanced, and arguably best work to date.

The tabs in this book are easy to follow, and of course all the songs are pretty brutal and heavy. Considering this book is now out of print, it's definitely worth the extra money to have it in your hands.

Dethklok!
Great tab book, thats all i have to say!! the notes are very accurate, and you can have a lot of fun playing this as long as your in C standard. the solos can be hard, but with enough practice, you can get it right.

Not as advertised. Damaged in almost everyway it was specifically stated that it wasn't. Too much money for the condition in my opinion

A great tab book, for a better album
It is obvious that if you are reading this right now, that you are a Dethklok fan. It probably doesn't bother you that the band is "fake", or in a cartoon show. So I will ignore the obvious praise for the show/band and focus simply on the tab book for DethAlbum II. If you own the first album's tab book, or read my review of it there are some little differences both good and bad about this album. First off the good: It's as acurate and clear as the first book. It has even more art and graphic stylings than the first album, and now the "inlaid" art on the actual sheet music can take up two pages for certain songs. However the pictures they chose for these inlays arn't as cool to look at as the ones in the first album, but they are still cool. Now the bad: No DVD, for starters. While the first album's DVD was very light on content, is was better than having nothing and that is exactly what you get with this book. Nothing. Also, they decided to leave out the introductions from any of the characters from the show. Yes that content was created and written for the first book, but it made me laugh when I first read it and I expected to find more of it here. Sure this probably sounds like whinning from a spoiled child, but after the extra treatment from the first book, I got spoiled and expected about the same from this one as well. As it is, this is a more of a Tab Book for guitarists (obviously) than something a fan who doesn't play guitar will want. Having said that, I think that DethAlbum II is far superior an album compared to the first one, and that makes this tab book a must own for fans of the music. As a guitarist, I am amazed at how many tracks Brendon lays down for some songs (Bloodlines actually has Sixteen different guitar tracks in it, 13 of which are played at the same time.) it just goes to show that this man is extremely talented. Great Tab book, even better album.
