The 8" side is fine. But the 4" side is neither sch 40
This Canplas 414848BC PVC Sewer 4 on 8 Saddle Wye is supposedly a 4" x8" fitting. The 8" side is fine. But the 4" side is neither sch 40, or SDR35 pipe size. The internal diameter where the pipe slips in is 4-1/8" diameter and is too small for ANY adapter or pipe fitting that I was able to find. I finally had to use a RUBBER SLIP ON COUPLING to make my connection and then had to otherwise support the upstream 4" pipe. My guess is that this pipe is some sort of metric or foreign pipe size.. It is NOT Schedule 40 or SDR35 size! I had several hours of wasted time trying to find matching fittings. The time wasted cost much more than the fitting!
