Perfect gift for my husband. He loves using it when entertaining guests. Smoked bourbon and cigars go hand in hand and it he was really happy with the quality of the kit.

I love this, especially when entertaining people at the house, and I offer to smoke there drink.

I am actually a part time bartender. Tequila and bourbon are currently the in liquors. I don't use this where I work but decided to do some research at home. The kit is very complete. You get the wooden wood chip holder, a screen to hold the actual chips, 4 different kinds of wood chips and a small butane torch to light the chips with. Everything is really nicely made. The wood holder is nicely turned and finished. I did like the size of the wooden holder, it's over 4 inches in diameter, which means you can use it to smoke a shaker (see below). The butane torch is good quality. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because the screen where you put the wood chips needs to have a larger lip around the top. When lighting the chips I had a tendency to singe the wooden top. I also think they could supply a bit more chips, you only need a pinch but a few more would be nice. Using it couldn't be simpler. Place the screen in the wooden holder, place the holder on top of a glass or mixing shaker, place a tiny pinch, and I do mean tiny pinch of wood chips in the screen, light the chips, let them burn, when out, cover with the wooden screen cover. There a few ways to use these actually. For minimal smoke taste, smoke an empty glass, when done smoking mix the drink in the glass. For more smoker taste, first mix the drink, then smoke it. For maximum smoke taste, put drink ingredients in a shaker, smoke the shaker, then shake the drink. the last method will give you maximum smoke flavor. I made a Widow Jane Old Fashioned and smoked it with this using the second two methods. Smoking the glass with the drink in it gave a very mild smoky taste which I liked. Smoking and then shaking gave a very heavy smoke flavor.
