Q: How can I keep this from freezing in the winter?

If you live in a colder climate, add a mixture of 99% isopropyl alcohol in the winter to prevent the washer fluid from freezing. 8 to 16 oz should do the trick depending on how cold it is where you live.

Q: Why does the bottle state that you need to mix 1 part per 100 in California only?

It instructs to mix 1 part of concentrate with NO LESS THAN 100 part of water. That means you can mix 1:100, 1:150, 1:200, etc. But not 1:99, 1:98, 1:90, and so on.

Q: Should you mix this with distilled water ? or tap water only ? my tap water is very hard, just don't want any clogging. Thx.

It should work and retain freeze properties try to mix some and put in freezer overnight. A few drops of concentrate and glass of washer fluid. If it doesn't freeze your on your way
