Good value for money
The front camera is HD and can record in 1080p or 720p resolution. Backup camera has VGA resolution 640x480 which is fine for intended purpose. In backup mode it does show distance lines. Reverse camera has priority, as soon as reverse gear is selected, the rear-view camera comes on. Reverse camera also has 4 LED lights on the 4 corners. They come on when car is in reverse, providing additional light if you are backing up on a dark street or driveway. Screen can be setup few separate ways (1) large screen shows FRONT camera with rear camera output as picture-in-picture (top right corner) (2) side by side split for front and rear cameras, however the image is squeezed on the sides (3) Rear view camera only. The mirror is wider that the OEM rearview mirror, which covers some of the blind spots as well. I installed in on my 2003 Toyota Sienna van which did not have a backup camera. These feature set at this price point is a terrific value. Most two-channel dash camera are $150 or above. It does have a lot of features, built in mic which you can turn on/off, auto recording, picture or video recording and a whole lot more! It requires 5v power supply from a USB phone charger or a 12v cigarette lighter. The unit does have a built-in battery that allows it to auto record when the power is off, however it is not intended for extended use.Screen can be turned off and use the mirror as a normal rear view mirror. Both, front and rear view cameras, create a separate files for what they record.Front camera/mirror attaches to the OEM mirror with thick rubber bands. I went for permanent installation. I disassembled the cigarette lighter adapter (to reduce the size), soldered the wires for positive and negative connections. Positive wire was connected to ACC wire, negative wire was attached to the metal frame. Wires were installed through driver side A-pillar to behind the radio.Rear camera was installed above the license plate, screwed in, to the plastic piece, which covers the license plate lights. Rear camera was hooked up to the reverse light wire. It comes on as soon as car is in reverse gear. There is another wire that connects rear camera to the front screen. I ran that wire along the rear window frame of the trunk door, through the trunk-to-headliner grommet (PITA), between the roof and headliner, and to rearview mirror on the front windscreen. Very neat install, no wires hanging anywhere.the recorded video is very good, although not as sharp as you would expect 1080/720 vide to be, may be due to the lens quality. Day time recording is clear, and images are sharp. However, it does suffer from a lot of glare depending on the sun light. After noon recordings, when sun in lower and not directly in the camera, the video is much clearer and sharper, better than day time.On the other hand, night tight time recording is overexposed, in some cases mostly washed out by oncoming traffic lights, street lights etc.One thing to mention is that the video image is always tilted (real time as well as recorded video), even if the rearview mirror is perfectly level. I used level app in my iPhone to level it. Front lens is fixed in a plastic housing and there is no way to adjust it on X or Y axis. You can adjust the rear-view mirror to align the video with horizon but at that point the rearview mirror goes crooked. There should have been at least 3-5 degree adjustments for this, in the mirror housing or through the setup. Although it is a $45 equipment, and I should not complain but it is VERY ANNOYING.In the settings there is an option to increase the sensitivity of the g-Sensor, which would automatically lock the file. The problem is that it will start locking the files even if you drive over pot holes. I ran out of space on my 32GB SD card in an hour. Had to turn it off altogether.Touchscreen is a finger print magnet. It does get covered by the finger prints and oil. Make sure to keep a microfiber towel.Overall it is a good product, worth $45 I paid for it.

FINALLY -- found one I really like!
This mirror cam is awesome. It was very easy to set up and I'm a girl, just sayin'. I'm pleasantly shocked at how nice it is for the price. This will be my 3rd dash cam in 2 yrs. I will never go back to those that 'suction cup' to the windshield b/c they fall off and/or get waaaay too hot in Houston sun. I think b/c this mirror cam attaches to the front of your existing rear view mirror, that positioning prevents the thing from getting fried. I can't stress enough how impressed I am. I put off buying one of these because I didn't quite trust the concept of useful rear view mirror and monitor screen combo. You can see what is recording and it goes off after about 30 seconds, don't worry it's still recording. It's easy to 'see through' the image to what's behind you. It is longer than most vehicle mirrors I've seen (yet it is very thin), but this was a happy and useful surprise, as that I appreciate being able to see more behind me. My little Jeep mirror just didn't show as much. So, there, real person, real review, if it doesn't last or messes up, I will definitely tell :0)

Great quality for the money
I got tired of suction cup cameras on my windshield so I tried this. It fits over my Prius mirror pretty good. Obviously if you are installing the rear backup camera its gonna take some time. I ran my wire along the roof and to the hatch opening. The backup trigger wire could be about 6 foot longer but I just added a piece and got it working. Overall this is a great deal for what it costs.

Pleasantly Surprised
I stumbled across this dashcam by chance and it was just what I was looking for. I had been looking for a backup camera for a while, mainly for backing to connect my boat trailer. I do not have a radio with an LCD display and do not want a separate monitor on my dash so this was a good alternative. I was recently involved in a multi-car accident where two of the cars involved were friends with each other and decided to fabricate a story trying to implicate me as the cause of the accident. After that, I felt like a dashcam was something I needed to purchase as well. I saw this product and felt like it was something that would satisfy both needs. When I saw the price, I was skeptical of the quality but thought that it would be worth trying out.The installation was easy. My factory mirror has OnStar\Compass\Temp built in and is pretty thick. Getting the straps to stretch around it and fasten did take me a few minutes. I do like the larger size of the new mirror over the factory one. However, it is a little dimmer and I have dark tinted windows so things are not quite as clear as my factory one. I am happy with the video quality of both the forward facing and rear cameras. I mounted the backup camera above the license plate. I drive a pickup so the cable came up a little short but after contacting the company, they do have one with a longer cable available. So far, I am very pleased with this product. I would have given it 5 stars but I would have liked to have seen the longer cable listed as an option to order instead of having to contact the company afterwards. I knew before I ordered it the cable was going to be short but saw in the question section where they had longer cables available.***Update***After contacting the company and them agreeing to send me a longer cable, I waited a month for it to arrive and it was the wrong one. I just ended up purchasing an extension cable rather than going through that process all over again.
