Nice that coffee is still hot 2hours later.
Yes it keeps coffee warm. I however as normal spilled a little. I wiped both cup and warming plate..... 1/2 later was I was lounging in bed reached for my cup and it had sealed to the warming plate as I tried to pull it towards me it knocked over my glass of 7up and that landed all over the floor and my expensive surge protector power strip an hour later after I had to throw out the power strip, shampooing the carpet rearranging what I could plug in ,and ordering a new powerstip. My coffee was drinkable. My advice1.be careful the plate gets hot2. If you like sugar is will burn on the heating plate.3. If using at home be careful where you drape your cord.4. Be mindful that the heating plate may stick to you cup/mug as you pick it up.*this is the most expensive coffee warmer ever.. bright side the sculpted glass that I had my 7up in did not break..whew.

Pretty, but stopped working after 2 months
The product is aesthetically pleasing, minimalistic, and looks really nice on my desk. I’ve gotten a lot of compliments on it. However I’ve read reviews on this warmer that it stops working after a while. I bought it anyway because I thought I’d be lucky, but that’s not the case - mine stopped working after 2 months. It was gradual because I felt my coffee getting less and less warm over a week. I turned it on today, but the plate isn’t hot at all. I’d buy it again if it were more durable.

Worthy purchase so far
I took into consideration 2 specific reviews. 1.) The person who intentionally left their warmer on overnight, unattended with the end result of the warmer melting and burning into their counter (duh!) and 2.) Another who suggested using a silicone beverage cover to retain heat. That being said, as a precaution I placed a stone coaster with a cork bottom under my warmer and also purchased a silicone beverage cover from BBB (they also sell them on Amazon) as to deter loss of heat through evaporation. I the conducted an experiment where I filled my coffee mug with room temp coffee and creamer from the fridge and placed my mug with cover on burner. Within 45 minutes my coffee was comfortably warm, not scolding but perfectly toasty to cuddle up with and drink with easy. Beats microwaving. I recommend for those who always get to their drinks after they have cooled.

Works but I wish it got hotter and had a built-in timer
We use this with a timer under our pour-over coffee set up. The surface is just slightly lower than the edge which means the carafe doesn't actually touch the plate. It would certainly work better if it did and it's on my list to get a circle of aluminum to put on the plate to come in contact with the carafe. However, it's nice looking and otherwise as described.

Perfect Warmth! (Not Too Hot)
This was a great purchase. The heating element is a good size, even for large mugs like the ones I own. I intentionally own mugs with double the capacity, so I can have two coffees in one sitting without getting judged as a coffee-maniac (but I am slow to drink them). This warmer keeps the coffee and teas a perfect, pleasant temperature. I use ceramic mugs with high-capacity, the temperature of the liquid is maybe about 100 or so degrees Fahrenheit (not boiling or enough to burn) when at equilibrium. The surface is hot, and can burn if you accidentally leave it on and touch it. (I decided to take a test, and it can slowly burn/toast a tissue--quite hot!) So as long as you're careful, this is a great product!

Doesn't get very hot.
I prefer mug warms that get very hot. This one is okay. It will keep your beverage luke warm. I will not purchase this again.

Not quite hot enough.
Good design; large platter. I would prefer the switch directly on the unit, as opposed to on the cord like this one. I bought it in hopes that it would be hotter than the others, but no dice....marginal heat at best. The cover helps, but why not just add a few watts?

Use flat bottom mug!
I'm very happy with this purchase - warming plate works great, keeping my beverages very warm/hot. Features I like: 1) the on/off switch is high on the wire so you don't have to fish for it under your desk or table, 2) the red light lets you know it's on so you don't forget, 3) heating plate is a nice size to hold a variety of sizes, and 4) the silicone top. Important: I've found that you need to use a mug with a flat bottom (as pictured). Mugs with a raised bottom edge prevent the contents from getting hot.
