I have used the B&K predecessor product, 875A, for a long time now and have found it to be an excellent meter for the money. It is very stable for most readings and has given me no maintenance problems. It was sent to a calibration lab every year for the first 10 years and needed no adjustments whatsoever, just verification. I was a bit shocked to find it, in the form of the 875B, still being made. I guess that bodes well for B&K. I used both the component lead connectors and the regular leads interchangeably with no real change in readings. The slotted component lead connectors just facilitate testing a part easier and quicker, especially if you have many loose components to test. The LCD display has been perfect over the 15+ years of sometimes careless use, which makes it better than some Fluke products in that regard. The Zero adjust feature was added for the 875B model and, although I cannot evaluate that, would seem to me to be a good addition to the features.

Top quality meter, has never failed me after at least 15 years of use. Anyone saying this meter isn't great is most likely one in several thousand or more, as this is known to be a great meter........no meter is perfect.

Dissipation values are poor...capacitance measurement performance is poor.
