The battery pack uses 4 - AA batteries. How long it lasts depends on use.

Q: Which is better: this or solo lite?

Honestly I’m a little biased, the solo lite is a great stove and lighter than this one if you’re backpacking, but this one burns hotter,, and boils water faster, and cooks longer than the solo lite. But does weigh 2 lbs. I guess it’s up to you..

Q: Can it be used for a heat source inside a tent

No, not recommended to use as a heat source inside of a tent. The reason is it's an open flame and the metal gets hot.

Q: will this use charcoal? is it sturdy enough to cook with a wok?

The inferno isn't designed to be a charcoal stove. Most who use it don't want to haul charcoal on their adventures. It works great with wood, kindling, pine cones, things like that. You could definitely use a wok on it. The size of the wok might effect how securely it sits on top.
