GROHEEurosmart New Tub Spout

Note that this item is not chrome finish. It is a “Starlight chrome” finish, which is noticeably warmer than regular chrome (see photo). It did not match well with my other chrome fixtures so I returned it. Otherwise, it is a pretty shape and easy to install.

This is a real deal. This very elegant chrome tub spout arrived in perfect condition, excellent workmanship and quality of this metal tub spout. Does not leak when you pull the shower diverter up. Flow out of the spout is smooth and around the perimeter of the bottom spout. This model is a slip fit, over 1/2 copper tubing. I had absolutely no problem removing a 20 year old spout and replacing it with this one.I don't understand all the negative reviews. Maybe some people just aren't handy enough to install it? This spout is so much better than anything you can buy at a big box home center, or even from top name brands, most of which are metal plated plastic. If you want something nice, and will last likely 40 years, buy this spout.

It only took me about 10 minutes to install this slip-fit spout, even though I had a threaded copper fitting at the end of the stub. I simply used my copper pipe cutter to take off the threaded part, leaving about 2.5" sticking through the wall. (Second picture is the part I cut off). Then, it was just a matter pushing the spout on the pipe, tightening the set screw, and applying a silicone/caulk between the wall and the spout.

Bought this as part of our bathroom remodel. I was a little hesitant, but it turned out to be great. I used to have a cheap plastic spout and was really surprised when this one arrived. It's heavy! The picture really doesn't do it justice, it looks really great. Installation was pretty easy, though I did have to cut down the copper pipe slightly because it was longer than the directions recommend. We liked this one so much we bought one without a diverter for our master bath.

Update (5/7/21): The diverter lever and its parts fell out. must have somehow been unscrewed little by little. I'm not quite sure how it goes together. help!This looks beautiful when the water is turned off. But when i turn it on, water comes out in many separate streams and directions. It doesn't come out smoothly and that's a little disappointing.The diverter worked beautifully and easily, btw.

Solid Brass, Gorgeous profile - just installed. Love it so far other than water does not come out in a smooth stream. Maybe something needs adjusting

No complaints after 6 months of use. Still works like new. Great price too!

Tried and took back a couple of bid box alternatives while trying to get a quick fix but finally decided to plug the pipe and wait for the GROHE unit in the mail. Was worth every Penney and every minute of the wait. Proves once again that there is no substitute for quality products.

Delivered quickly. Nice quality, updated look. Slide on install easy.

Looks good. Water pours out in a semi-controlled, wide spray area (about 3" diameter). A single screw tightens it onto the pipe instead of the bolt that I'm used to, but it seems to be holding ok.Easy to install and the price is right.

Needed a replacement and at the price i got it for works perfect.

Looks good, easy to push into place without threads.
