I looked at a lot of these sets before choosing this one. What got me was a coupon the seller was offering as all of the sets seem to be around the same regular price and include the same amount of pieces more or less. Our 2 year old is climbing on things and we wanted her to start focusing climbing on things that she SHOULD climb on (the parents out there know what I mean!) We had some scrap material to build an inverted V shape climbing gym for her and this set of climbing holds and rope works perfectly. The holds (that's what the hand pieces are called) are good quality, seem to be a really sturdy plastic or resin. This set came with 25 and we used 23. We spaced them about 12-15 inches apart given our daughter is 34 inches tall. The rope/carabeener/hardware is decent. The rope is a pretty slick synthetic so you don't have to worry about rope burn on little hands. On the other side of that coin, it will take a few months of her practicing to get the hang of holding onto the rope because it lacks a good grip, but I can see older kids having no issues. The handles that came are a little obsolete for the setup we put together but if you are building a climbing wall that is more vertical, I can see those being useful. We stuck them on the sides close to the edge for now. We used different screws/washers than what were provided in the kit. That was more of a preference (my husband didn't like the silver showing through the climbing holds screw holes). But the hardware provided was of good quality and we will use it for something else. Mom and dad tried everything before having our daughter try it out and the holds easily support the weight of adults 150lbs-175lbs. Overall, very happy with this set! We live in Florida and expect the holds to fade quite a bit in the sun but that's fine with us.
