Delicious
Smooth miso white paste, the fried tofu in unimpressive but overall a 4 star product

Delicious, authentic Japanese miso soup
Delicious, authentic Japanese miso soup, made with fresh miso paste (one soup comprises a sachet of miso and a sachet of dried garnish ingredients), by the maker of the best (in my opinion) miso.

fantastic instant miso - be careful not to over dilute
Each portion comes in two small packets: one packet contains the miso paste, and the other packet contains the toppings and some flavorings. It appears to be a white miso, which is delicate and medium sweet in taste. The miso is unpasteurised and vegan friendly. The toppings are mainly freeze dried inari (deep fried tofu) and wakame pieces, plus bonito powder which renders the toppings unsuitable for vegetarians. The toppings take couple of minutes to soak up and soften, and I was very surprised to find how aromatic they were after redryhadrating.Very important to keep to the recommended ratio and not overdilute. One portion is for about half a regular mug, if you like a fuller flavour. If I was to use one of those larger coffee mugs, I would use two packets per serving. It is better to mix it with less hot water and dilute later if necessary, than overdilute and loose the taste.
