This is the only powdered vitamin I take that has a decent flavor. Most powders taste awful. I actually don't mind drinking this unlike others I have that I'm always glad when I get it done for the day. I wouldn't say this tastes great, but it's really not bad. The amounts of vitamins you get in this is really good. My only concern is the amount of beta carotene as I eat a lot of veggies everyday and multiple ones that are very high in beta carotene. There's mixed reports on whether beta carotene gets stored in the body, some say it does and some say it doesn't. To be safe I drink this every 2 or 3 days instead of every day. (I actually got vitamin A poisioning between my last daily vitamin which had a ton of vitamin A in it and my diet so I'm a little cautious now, but my diet has changed to not as much of the retinol form as I was getting, still I'm a little leery.) I love how much B vitamins are in this and overall this is good product!

I've been taking only one scoop in the morning after breakfast (they suggest 2 scoops), and that has given me good energy to start out the day! It only has to be mixed with water, and I find it not offensively tasting.I've been using this vitamin now for a couple years.

I bought this because the actual ingredients were far better than anything else I could find at this price. I didn't want a supplement with a lot of additives of any kinds, and particularly not the usual sweeteners. But like most people, the strong taste of this caught me by surprise. It was a bit of a shock because it did not resemble anything else I ever tasted.I tried disguising it in the usual ways, but the results were unsatisfactory. Then I tried simply wolfing it down in water, which seemed better. But that led after a couple of days to noticing a very odd change in my taste buds: they were starting to like it. A little while after that, they loved it.My guess is that many of us were never exposed to pure concentrations of vitamins and minerals like this. We take supplements in pill or gel forms, or powders loaded with sweeteners. But my body seems to be thriving on this particular combination, and even craves the taste of it. So if you think the ingredients are what you want, but still dislike the taste, you might want to give it a chance to grow on you.No, I do not work for this outfit, or receive anything for this review. But I do depend on honest reviews as much as everyone else.

I consider myself to have a high threshold for "healthy" tasting things, but this was the worst supplement I've ever tried. I used it as a multivitamin boost and it tastes like decaying artificial jello mix with a hint of grittiness. I had SUCH high hopes for this product, due to the reviews, but my expectations were not met. It's hard to attest to the health benefits when it's nauseating to take! I'll stick with my organic/vegan multivitamin capsules over this powder mix. If people manage to get it down and experience health benefits, awesome. That was NOT my experience! I'm giving it three stars out of five because of the purity of the product itself. The nutritional profile is impressive if you can get over the horrid taste... and this is from someone who ENJOYS wheatgrass shots and super healthy stuff.

I have tried similar products before but I couldn’t stand the taste/texture. This one is so easy to drink! It is also so packed with nutrients that I only take half of a serving, so it will last for two months. I am feeling so much better with energy and not feeling bloated. I am excited to see long term results.

Upon opening the canister, the powder had an ashes-of-Aunt-Tillie appearance. I placed a scoop of powder into a tall glass of water. After a clump of powder sunk into the water, a few seconds later, the clump returned to the surface. I told my wife "don't call the priest yet, I haven't been to church since 8th grade". After mixing what looked like pond water, I drank down the slurry substance thinking, "what have I done?". The taste? I now understood why there is no flavor listed on the canister and I realized it was unfair to expect Pure Essence to assign a flavor on the label for it would have said "Paint and Orange Peel". It was, how do you say....DISGUSTING. Combined with the green sludge you find at the bottom of the glass that separates from the greenish-yellow water and it's unpalatable, um, flavor, I was left with no choice but to ask for a refund, which was granted. I gave two stars as I cannot speak to the efficacy of the nutritional attributes because I was not able to choke down much more than one serving of...whatever that was. The search for a good multi-vitamin powder continues...

Excellent combination of most if not all important nutrients. Powder form is great so you can avoid more giant pills. Absorption is very good since it is a powder. You notice a since of well being or energy after taking, probably due to the dosage of B vitamins. One draw back would be its sweetness most likely from the stevia. If you mix it in a fruit/protein smoothy it is not really noticeable. If you're taking it with some sort of straight milk product, you should drink it very slowly, the sweetness is very noticeable.
