Awesome Gaming Laptop
GL504GS-XS76ASUS ROG Strix SCAR II Gaming Laptop, 15.6" 144Hz 3ms IPS-Type, Intel Core i7-8750H Processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB GDDR5, 512GB PCIe SSD, 16GB DDR4, RGB, Windows 10 ProfessionalIPS panels have bleed, you can't escape it. I read a lot of reviews complaining about that. Also, it’s a gaming laptop, the battery life is going to suck especially when you have a non-Max-Q GTX 1070 without Optimus. No Thunderbolt 3, but it's not a deal breaker, you can still drive a high refresh rate monitor with mDP 1.2 or 4K with the included HDMI 2.0 port. Yes, the fans are loud, again it is a GAMING LAPTOP; those thermals need to be tamed accordingly. I have seen plenty of comments on the thermals being unmanageable, however you have to understand the context of those comments are when they are overclocking CPU/GPU. It’s a neat feature, but realistically the manufacturers are including that just to stay competitive in the market place in this space. If you want to overclock, get a MSI GT75 or similar chassis. As long as you understand those so called limitations, this laptop is a premium product. I would consider this a thin-and-light laptop, given the power you have in such a small chassis. The screen is fantastic and rivals my BenQ 27-inch 120Hz. 300 nits, great color calibration out of the box. Not only for gaming, but productivity in general as well. It is easy on the eyes.Surprisingly, the speakers are the best I have had on a gaming laptop. They are downward firing on the L/R front sides of the laptop. But the subtle effect is an increased level of bass. This is the first gaming laptop I have owned where I don’t mind using the built-in speakers. They are loud and powerful. The i7-8750H coupled with the GTX 1070 is a beast. This laptop can blaze through my old steam catalog and Diablo 3 at framerates greater than the refresh rate of the monitor. Modern games, depending on the game, can run 60+ fps. Realistically, this is all you need on non-FPS games. The keyboard deserves high praise as well. I feel, for me, it is the right balance of stiffness. No flex in the chassis when typing or gaming.Hardware TPM 2.0 is available on this machine as well for those requiring Bitlocker. I upgraded to 32GB RAM, and a 2TB Firecuda. Easy upgrades. I love that you can remove one panel and everything is accessible. I also purchased the “Pelican 1495 Laptop Case With Foam:” this hardcase fits the laptop and power supply perfectly. There are 7 lighting zones: 4 on the keyboard, L bar, R bar, and ROG logo.Overall, no regrets on this purchase. My only complaint is the keyboard LED backlights are a little dim when the lights are on, but it’s a minor gripe.

join the republic of gamers
From the first Asus laptop i have used N53jq, this brand has been my favourite all the time. Now i bought this laptop GL504GS which is also my first gaming laptop. Against some of the complaints and reviews about this computer;1) Fan doesn't click2) Material may be recycled (which is completely ok for me if it doesnt look like a black garbage bag) but it's looking very cool with camouflage figures on it (i saw somebody has written oil spillage to camouflage skin :) )3) Doesnt burn your hand while playing games in ultra graphic option.4) Handprints doesnt seen on the aluminum (which is behind the screen) and polycarbon part.5) Speakers doesnt make any clicking sound on the chassis of the computer. These are the things that i reviewed in two days of usage. But i can say that i am glad i didnt have any prejudice after reading the comments. By the way i love that led bar on the front side and led rog logo on the back. I totally recommend this gaming pc (not as a pro) to users like me which will use for some engineering softwares and games which needs high requirements. For people which think to buy it for office use, you can but it eyes closed cause it doesnt look like a toy, design is very formal but also naughty ;).

Nice but falling apart
The laptop runs everything and it very fast. The battery life lasts long enough to use for about 2 to 3 hours on battery saving mode. Looks very sleek and has nice speakers. The speakers are actually much better than what reviews said, they are nice. My only issue with this laptop is it is falling apart.1. The backspace key is starting to sound squeaky and feel weird.2. The hinge on the left side is falling off3. There is horrible screen bleeding that shows in the dark4. The fan makes horrible noises like something is broken every once in a whileI have only owned this laptop for 3 and a half months. You would think you would get a laptop that will last a couple years for 1500 to 200 dollars but the physical computer is cheap.

15 inch no matter what option you pick.
The laptop itself is wonderfull only got it a few days but it is working out great so far. Only problem what the description is not 100% accurate when it asks you for size. I picked 17inch got the 15.6 inch. Also asked if it was a 17inch and never got a response. I would give it 5 stars except the lack of response and the inaccurate description.

This laptop is above all others for the price
I have always loved ASUS but this one is the god of gamers. Just wish it had better battery life.

would be great except for the faulty sound issues
would be an amazing machine if the sound worked properly. the volume fluctuates on it's own and sometimes the right speaker shuts off randomly. i'm not the only with this issue. check the forums and you'll see. no solution has been offered yet.

A good laptop but I met a problem
It is a amazing laptop. It is light and portable than other gaming laptop I used. BUT, my laptop will VIBRATE if the volume is maximum. I really love this laptop and hope it is a little problem. So I will return it and purchase a new one. Giving the 3/5 stars right now.
