So Far So Good!
I bought this pot by itself to replace the pot in my cheap-o Wal-Mart (Ozark Trail) camping set. I used the pot in that set once before the non-stick coating melted off into my food. That pot was also heavier and the lid and handle is pretty flimsy.I liked the bowls in that set, though and I liked the size of the pot so this seemed like a solid replacement. So far I really like it. This pot, with the bowls (one containing my etekcity stove) weighs almost as much as the Wal-Mart pot by itself! The quality of this pot seems well worth the 36 bucks I paid for it and the handle feels more durable with no wobbles or slack.I probably could have bought this entire kit, but it didn't seem necessary to waste the perfectly good bowls and carrybag/wash satchel that came with the OT set. So, for 36 bucks for this pot plus the 15 dollars I spent on Wal-Mart set, I am still coming out a little less than I would have if I bought this in the kit. The pictures shown here are of this pot with the bowls (4 total) from the Wal-Mart Ozark Trail set and the etekcity camp stove. This could easily serve 2 people, 4 if you choose to use all of the bowls. Otherwise you could fit 2 bowls and a small can of fuel easily; which I'll probably do when I solo camp on the motorcycle.I'll update this as I put it to use but all in all, I'm very happy with my purchase.Update: 6/7/18I've used this pot a handful of times on multiple camping trips and I really like it. I've used it over my etekcity stove and also over a wood fire on a fire ring grill. Typically I won't put the whole lot over direct flame but I will position it so that the handle doesn't get tickled by flames. This pot (1.8L) is plenty big enough for a large can of beef stew and it is very easy to clean. If I'm directly cooking in it I usually empty the contents into bowls and then put some water in it with the lid on and let it boil. The steam, a little soap, and a light wipe with a rag or scrubber typically effortless does the trick as long as you haven't scorched your food to it. I've made pasta in it and used the lid to strain by holding onto the silicone lid tab. I've made hot chocolate by melting chocolate chunks which have stuck to the bottom and never had a problem cleaning it.The etekcity stove does tend to burn a little hot in the middle but I tend to be mindful of that when using this pot. I've never had an issue using this over direct flame, including on my gas grill when it's too hot to cook in the apartment. Overall it's a great pot!

Great features, but it's BIG!
I love this product! BUT, it was not was not what I was expecting. This pot is BIG. I mean, way bigger than I was expecting it to be. I was in the market for something I could take backpacking to replace my 13 yr. old Jet Boil (which I love, but it's old and too bulky). Since I don't like titanium, I needed a good aluminum coated pot that could store a can of fuel and my small burner, to be my personal cooking kit. This, unfortunately was too big and heavy. (it's almost too big for my small travel burner) It's big enough to hold a 7.5 oz fuel canister (the big size, not the smaller size that fits the Jet Boil). With a full canister, the burner and a bandana inside, it weighs considerably more than my Jet Boil, which defeats the whole purpose of upgrading.HOWEVER, this will be our go-to pot for when my husband and I take our whole family backpacking. We can boil ALOT of water and cook food with this thing and that's helpful when the kids "want it now" because they're kids, and they're impatient, the little turds ;)If you are wanting a big pot, this is a great choice. It's well made, the handle flips up and locks like a champ and really secures the lid down which is an awesome feature. The rubber grips make this easy to handle both on the lid and the handle. 5 stars for GSI for making a useful pot....It's just too big for me and my needs. I will be purchasing the smaller 1.1 liter in the near future to meet my needs better.

Lightweight water boiling micro pot!
Using it alongside the Etekcity ignition system and setting the flame to medium heat, I was able to boil 2 cups of water (16oz) in about 8 minutes. The boil was centered and not distributed along the whole bottom, I would not recommend this for baking/cooking. Perfect for boiling liquids, did a good job. After removing the hot contents and turning off the heat the pot cooled down enough to touch within 2 minutes. So from set up to tear down I had 2 cups of hot water in more or less 10 minutes.I can fit a 4oz fuel canister (with room to spare) and an ignition system inside and still be able to close the lid and snap back the handle. I can also snuggly store an 8oz fuel canister inside if I wanted.Handle locks in place in both the closed and open positions. In order to move the handle you must squeeze to release the locks, easy to do without gloves on.4/5 stars simply because the lid does not have any holes at the top so I cannot use it as a strainer. Trail pasta anyone?Compact design, however, I personally wish It was taller rather than wider. When I placed it in the side "water bottle mesh pocket" on my pack it streached out the fabric more than I wanted (Deuter Lite 65+10).Weighs less than a full soda can, but more than 100g (tried to weigh it but my scale won't go a over 100g). The lid alone weighs 35g if that means anything to anyone.Haven't tested it on the trail yet, I might replace it with a slimmer/taller pot if I find something better.Edit: Replaced it with the Stanley 24 oz cook set.

Love my Halulite!
This pot is the fourth to be added to my Halulite collection. I have a kettle and two larger pots that we use in our camper, and I purchased this pot primarily for backpacking. I love it! It is of the same quality I've come to expect from the Halulite line. The size is perfect for backpack cooking for 1-2 people, and my fuel, stove, bowls, matches and canister stabilizer all nest into it nicely. My favorite feature is the flip over handle to lock everything in place. I expect years of fine performance out of it, just like my other GSI items.

Great bit of kit, good size pot and the catch on the handle to fold it is solid.

top Topf

Leicht, gut erhitzbar, gut verstaubar... alle Erwartungen erfüllt.
