Powder Perfection Dipping Powder Set (DPN25 Big Apple Red)

First off, this is not a complete kit. You still have to purchase the clear powder coating. I was very excited to try the powder polish but the base coat (step 1) arrived a gummy mess and smells like epoxy. Very disappointed especially for the price. Not sure if it's old stock or knock off.

The color is not as pink as I thought it would be but it is still very pretty and natural. The top coat is a little hard to apply because the brush gets hard and this set does not come with a brush cleaner. The set does not come with the clear powder either which makes a big difference in color pay off. Overall I do recommend the set but get brush cleaner and the clear coat I did not use a clear coat on my nails pictured.

Base coat had something wrong with it. The brush would not come out and once I did get it out the entire thing clumped up. Tried it out anyways and distorted the color of the powder. I'll be buy a new base coat and trying it again. Just disappointed that I spent the extra money for OPI.

Poor bottle design. I used it once, the base coat leaked into the handle part of the lid and dripped all over. I clean the lid as best I could, but it sealed itself shut. Also, the result of the product on nail was extremely bumpy; which could be first time user error but I don’t know because the bottle won’t open now.

This is one of my favorite colors that OPI makes. However if you want to have matching color for your toes then get OPI’s ‘You’re a Piza work’. I am a nail tech and for those of you having trouble with it being lumpy. After you do the base coat and dip on the color. Complete one hand and use a brush to dust off any excess powder. OPI also has a video on UTube that would be very helpful for first time dipping powder users. Young Nails has a video on UTube working with dipping powders too. Young Nails is a little different then OPI. But YN video is narrated.

The kit is supposed to have a 1, 2, 3 polish and I was send a base coat (#1) and 2 of the top coats (#3), which. means I can't use the kit. The dipping powder isn't even new, it's taped around the top and was used. It also took an extremely long time to receive the package.

I received my set in another brands box, with tape all over it as if it had been haphazardly thrown together. 2 of the 3 bottles are not able to be opened because they seem to have leaked and dried shut and the 3rd bottle is currently leaking but not yet dry.

I am a manicurist and did not like this at all. It went on lumpy and splotchy and was very hard to get off, even with acetone. I returned this.
