I don’t understand why someone would make these out of Standard steal that rust just rust like crazy.. They are square and nicely done but they rust. If I’ve got to keep a coat of oil on the dang thing what’s the point.? And even though I keep them in a drawer and clean and coated with all kinds of rust blocker they still rust. To the point I don’t use them because I don’t wanna cause rust. I’m not a machinist per se. mostly wood work.

I bought this solely to square the table of my new 18 inch bandsaw (a laguna 18 bx) to the blade. This was reasonably priced and provided me with the ability to easily check to make sure that I set the table so that the blade is orthogonal for true cuts. This square let me check each side of the blade as well as the back relative to the table. I was able to quickly check for square and adjust as necessary.I'm sure this square will come in handy for other purposes as well, and it already earned its value for its first use.

Very well made square and very precise. However, make sure you either oil it or wax it or do something, because it can rust and it doesn't take long. That's experience talking. I had to take some rust off because I was careless and then I waxed it to protect it from future mishaps. It's fine now. It's nice to know I don't have to rely on my twenty year old combo square to get a good angle.

Good solid product, packaged with reasonable protection in a foam fitted box. Accuracy looks good passing 2 line test on inside and outside of blade and compared to several other squares, although no high precision tests. Finished and polished nicely. 8 inch nice to have vs. other 6 inch squares.

Is this a joke? This thing was completely trashed out of the box. You can see where it's been sanded down horribly and out of shape with scratches included. Here's a pic of the "inspector" who may or may not be blind.

Big enough for most jobs. Clean heavy steel square. And really accurate. I can finally setup my machines to cut straight. A bargain for this level of quality.

Works well... the base is a bit narrow so it tips over easy but nothing I can't work with.

It’s a precision square that I bought for squaring a sliding miter saw. It’s very accurate and now I find myself using it to mark every board I need to cut. Very happy with the price too.
