I have type 3A hair (naturally curly, coarse and thick) cut into a pixie style. I wear my hair straight more often than not and blow dry with 2 different size round brushes. Since my roots are very curly, I need a smaller flat iron to get to the roots since my hair is short. I've tried using a regular size and it's too large to reach my roots. I've tried probably 6 different flat irons and this one I actually saw on an Instagram post. It doesn't have a temperature setting; you turn it on and that's it. However, this thing gets HOT! The way it feels in your hands is perfect, it's not awkward feeling. The fact the handle is a little thicker makes it easier to hold and it also has grooves so you're able to grip it well while straightening. This is the best flat iron for shorter hair styles!

could use a temp control. I have a lot of fine hair and it gets only HOT, could use a little less hot for people with finer hair. Other wise it's GREAT!

I like this flat iron. It is easy to use because of the size. My only complaint is that the description leads one to believe the heat setting is adjustable and it isn't. You turn it on and it gets hot that's it. So definitely test before use. For me it works well enough. I really love everything else about it. Works best on small portions of hair at a time.

Perfect size for traveling. I use it to curl my hair and it does a much better job than a full sized straightener! I use it almost everyday. I haven't used it to actually straighten my hair because I prefer my wavy/curly. I'd definitely recommend though!

My hair is very thin this is perfect for me. Ao far so good the temperature is ok not as hot as i thought it would be but its ok my daughter gets to use it too very easy.

I have a trip to Europe coming soon and got this, tried it and it's PERFECT. I might even like it better than my expensive CHI!??

Loved to be able to bring along as I traveled for business. Extremely compact, easy to use and the hotels that I stay in for business have hair dryers, but not a hair straightener.
