Building the WALL!
First I'm going to say that I deliberately ordered these from Shadyacres. 150+ of these arrived on a 24° day in a large flat rate box. Inside the box were several bundles on 9" cuttings, wrapped in moist paper towels and double bagged with 4 rubber bands to lock the moisture in, they successfully survived the freezing trip. I acquired 8 large vases (should have used 10), divided them up and place them in the window sill in 6" of spring water (NOT TAP) for a week. At the end of the first week every single cutting sprouted leaves and 3-20 2" roots, today I transplanted all of them to 150 18oz red solo cups (knifed the bottoms for drainage). Potting took 6 bags of potting soil (NOT potting MIX). Hung two 75w grow LEDs to help with the low light of the basement for the next few weeks, it wont be reliably above freezing till mid May, once its warm I will plant and cage them for the first year. So far, super impressed, every single plant took through the rooting phase, I will update as they grow. Update 4-21-19: 10 day time lapse added, on day 8 and 9 of being potted, they REALLY started to take off Update 4-26-19: Incredible, some of them are a 6" or more tall from the soil and bushy (12"+ overall), they are spread wider than the cups they are potted in. Every single one is still alive and thriving. The last 10 out of the 160 were badly damaged (due to packing too tight in the vases), they were sacrificed in order to pot the rest, after a few more days soaking they rooted again. After potting and a light mix of 'all purpose miracle grow' and soil soak treatment, they are as healthy and tall as the rest, truly amazing. I'm keeping the soil as damp as possible, as soon as I see dryness, they get watered. The basement is a pretty consistent 62°, if I could get them warmer they would take off much faster, but since my basement already looks like a full blown grow. I'm just going to wait for warmer weather, shooting for memorial day or sooner. Update 4-28-19: New photo added. Reorganized the grow area, added fan, heat and plastic walled off the area to trap the heat. It looks like a MJ grow and would work for it, but its just my happy little trees. Lights now set to 19h on, 5 off. Update 5-4-19: It's Starwars day, noticed some leaves falling off and tip burn due to lack of light, normal process so don't worry just keep wateering and add more light. I added 60 more watts of white (2x 4ft shop) LEDs from Walmart, leaf and branch development increased, color improved. Update 5-19-19: Brought them all up outside to start to acclimate to the weather, the last frost warning has passed for the season and I will be planting on memorial weekend. It has been the longest, hardest, coldest winter and just as bad of a spring, worst I can remember in my adult life... Update 5-25-19: All of them are still alive and thriving. Planted and soaked, they all survived the first night and looked healthy in the morning. Really looking forward to them blocking the view of the highway and keeping unwanteds out of my yard. Added root system photo, this is 7 weeks and 4 days of growth. At 8 weeks I would suggest planting but any longer than 10 weeks and they will probably get root bound (in an 18oz solo cup at least), so plan your order date about 8 weeks in advance of your plant date if you live in a cold climate. Every single plant survived, every one planted. Impressed. Update 6-28-19: 33 days later tallest tree is 31", growing 1/2" per day in NW MN, pic added.

I received these trees end of March, I sprouted them in a pitcher and in weeks I was overwhelmed, they sprouted leaves and roots. I Then potted them and for two weeks they continued to mature they were awsome. I set up two rows 125 drip line and planted them after i had se them out for a week to harden off. I was very proud or my trees. I seft them all out on a Saturday, on Suday the grasshoppers newley hatched had a feast. A week later there is not a leaf left. Depression. I just orderd 50 ; more these trees did awsome until the bugs did them in. Hope I am betterf prepared the next go around.

Most are dead
Nice cuttings received. All instructions followed. Drip hose, and automatic daily watering even though super wet spring. 3 plants are still alive. Admittedly they don’t all get 10 hours of sun, but they get enough to live.

No where near 12' growth
I've placed two orders of these trees because when I planted them, I needed more room to create a privacy fence/border. I lost about 8 of the original ones because they failed to sprout. I put each one in a flower pot with potted soil and watered them twice every day. They appeared to be show great potential after a few weeks. However, their growth slowed down. I had to keep them inside because by the time they began to show roots and were ready for planting, the temperature dropped and I was afraid to plant outside. Therefore, I continued to keep them inside. I had them in front of my sliding door so that I could open the blinds each day to expose them to sunlight. Some of the trees got about 24" tall but seemed to stop growing. After a while, I did some research and ordered a plant light. Once I started using the light, the plants started showing growth again and some plants grew to a total height of about 3' before it got warm outside. I transplanted them outside and after 25 months of growing, the tallest one is a little over 4' tall. Amazingly, I ordered my second group of 50 and put them under the same light. When I finally planted all of the trees, there was little difference in height between the original 50 and the second 50. The state mowers cut down 21 of them at the end of last summer so I am going to order another 50 to fill in the gaps. I was so excited to read that I could expect 5-12' of growth in the first year, but I have not seen anything near 12'. One thing to note is that the descriptions stated the trees will grow well in shady and sunny areas. We watered these trees every day during from the time we possessed them but the growth rate has been extremely disappointing.

So far so good with the trees that survived...
I ordered these hybrid willow cuttings from the promedia2000 seller back in April 2017. I used rooting hormone on all of the cuttings then placed them into mason jars partially filled with water and stored them in a sunny windowsill. It took about 15 days for aquatic roots to fully form and I immediately planted all of the cuttings into individual pots with some good quality potting soil outside. During the early part of June I encountered problems with aphids eating the new foliage and treated all of the trees with neem oil. The neem oil definitely did the trick and killed off the aphids, unfortunately, only 27 of the 50 trees survived after being attacked by the aphids and struggling to survive the Colorado summer heat. It's now September and the remaining 27 trees are still in their pots doing quite well (most are taller than 6 feet) and the trees are now ready to be planted in the ground before winter arrives. I'm hoping the remaining trees will all survive the Colorado winter and will update this review with their growth progress in the spring. Will also post some pictures too...

So far so good
I received these clipping just over three weeks ago. They arrived fast and very well packaged in wet paper towels, plastic bags and rubber bands. I allowed the bottom 1/3 of each clipping to soak in water for just about those three weeks [used fish tank water]. All clippings developed roots and buds, to one degree or another, but many root systems were very extensive [9-10 root sprouts on each, some several inches long]. The seller advises not to allow the roots to grow too long as they could be damaged when planting. I was careful to avoid this, but do note the roots were durable and none gave any indication they would/did break when I planted. I chose to pot these plants to be better able to get them sun and water and foster growth- I'm in SE Pennsylvania so I think I can get away with planting in July or August and have them hearty enough to withstand the generally mild winters. I ordered 50 and received 54. 4 WEEK UPDATE: It has been less than a month and many of the stems are showing a ton of growth, upwards of 6 inches in some cases. Four of the fifty-four did not survive the potting process, and another five survived halfway dying to come back healthy. Tried to get the best pics I could 8 WEEK UPDATE: Just over two months in the pots and growing very well. I observed good root growth while moving several plants into larger containers (shown in pic).

Great trees. Terrible seller.
Do not buy from seller "Shady Acre Perennials." Did a lot of research before buying. A lot of the people that sell these sell sticks thicker than a pencil. Of the first 50 I received from Shady Acre Perennials they were mostly thinner than a pencil and a lot were thinner than a knitting needle. On the second 50 I received most were knitting needle size. At least 5 of them were tiny, twisted, and not even 12 inches long. When i received them I thought "these five surely won't root" and they didn't. One was so small and weightless that the wind was able to blow it out of the water like it was a leaf.. The rest are so far performing as described. After less than two weeks the sticks grew sprouts and roots. I waited 15 days before putting them in the ground with wooden stakes marking their location. I would recommend planting them in pots first. The month of May is the heavy rain season where I live. That has helped a lot. Other than that I use drip lines most of the day, and still go around twice a day and water all 90 trees one by one. By the end of June we will likely get zero rain here. If that is the case I will run the drip line day and night. Total I bought 100 trees. Planted them approximately April 20th 2019. Five never took root due to seller sending ridiculously small twigs. Roughly another five died for undetermined reasons after being planted. This was most likely my fault as they were dong fine before hand. Of the approximately 90 remaining several of them are now more than 24 inches tall. Most are doing really well. Not sure why but a few of them don't seem to be growing very much but are still alive and green. I like these trees and intend to buy another 50, but will choose a different seller next time.

and are nice big ones
These trees were just as they were described to be. They are "cuttings", and are nice big ones, well prepared. I ordered 50, and received a few extra in case any didn't "take", but these are so healthy that they ALL grew. I was very pleased with how well they were packed for shipment. They arrived much sooner than I expected, so be prepared to plant them. One good suggestion the seller gives is to unpack your cuttings/trees and stand them up in a large bucket with water about halfway. I had to do this with some that I couldn't plant right away, and I'm astounded that they sent out roots and lots of green leaves, even as much or more than the ones planted right away. I used these for a "privacy" fence along my backyard. I placed them 3 feet apart, and mulched the area around each with straw to keep the weeds and grass down, and hold moisture. They will need to be watered often, unless you get a lot of rain. When I water them I give each between one half to one gallon of water. I expect these to grow fast the first year. I recommend this seller.
