I was just finally able to set this up over last weekend, and am very impressed! The material is just like a parachute, very soft, and comfortable. I am 6'4" and was able to fit in the hammock with ease and comfort. I really like the strap system that is used to hang the hammock as it is a quick set-up, and holds very well. On top of it all, the whole weight of both hammock and straps is very light, and easily a must grab on a nice overnight hike/backpacking trip!!! Will continue to look for this brand product in the future....

Part of my job is tagging along with C-30s to their remote destinations and providing security for them. This means I must get sleep on the aircraft while in flight to be able to stay up all night and guard the plane. If you have ever been on a C130 the jump seats are not something you want to sit on or sleep on if you don't have to. The parachute hammock was amazing! It reached from point to point without using the included straps. However I did want to test the straps out. On initial use these things stretched like they were Gumby's arms. I started out on the farthest out loop and ended up on the nearest loop and still it was not right enough. I understand they need to have some elasticity to them but I think they might have over done it on these. The comfort of the hammock is amazing. I am 6'4" and 220 pounds and this fit and supported me amazingly. I rocked to sleep like a little baby. The size was big enough for me to lay on one side and pull the extra over the top of me to make a cocoon.I was a little disappointed in the elasticity of the included straps and my hammock had a hole in the material upon initial use this is why they are getting 4 and not 5 stars.

High quality and sturdy. I am very satisfied with this hammock, and I'm over 70 years old and over 250 lbs. One weekend I'm camping on the beach, the next I'm up in the tropical rainforest. No more tent. A very small, lightweight bundle and it's all I need. Thank you for this hammock, Goodman Gear!

Fits 2 adults comfortably & does an amazing job at being outside through all the elements

This is a great product. I like the way the hammock fits into the bag that is attached. Also when you set up the hammock you can use the attached bag to store your cell phone or personal items while you rest. Setting up the hammock is a breeze with the adjustable straps. I didn’t have to search for the perfect spot. I even was able to hang it off my fence posts in the corner of my yard. It has a lot of room. You can easily fit two people or yourself and a pack/rucksack. I love the design of this hammock it does not have tapered ends, so you can easily take out the rope that connects to the tree straps. Then you have a large rectangular piece of parachute fabric “Mine measures 68in x 110in” that can be used for shade or many different applications. I would definitely suggest this product for hikers and outdoor enthusiasts that can benefit from not just a hammock but a tool for personal comfort and survival. Wow! Love this hammock! Where have you been all my life? Well, the last few years at least. Camping and hiking is a new adventure for me and I must say, I don't like sleeping on the ground. This incredibly useful and sturdy hammock is like a dream come true. Imagine yourself outside, lying in your hammock and staring up at the stars. It's an incredible feeling. It's easy to use, folds up nice and neat, easy to transport, and oh so comfortable. This is not just for those of you who camp and hike. It's also fun to put up in the backyard too! I'm not going to suggest you get this. I'm going to suggest you get two!! Trust me. Everyone in your family will want one.

I was sure my husband would love this parachute hammock when I got it and he did! I was going to wait for Christmas to give it to my husband, but it was so great I could not wait. He loved the material, functionally the straps and hammock support a lot of man, yet so light it goes right into a backpack without adding weight. We tried it out this weekend on a trip, found two good trees and he again thanked me for getting it for him. I see many more days of hammocking in the future, and if it is not already occupied I'm going to grab it and nap.

I have wanted a hammock like this for a long time and I just finally broke down and bought one. I am so glad I did. It is so comfortable and cozy- hugs me like a giant cocoon! I have it in the backyard hanging on an old swingset frame. It. is. heaven. I can go out there and hide from my family when they get overwhelming! Seriously- it is so comfy and a great spot to relax! It is easy to put up and take down- I am going camping and it will be going with me!! I totally think you need this hammock!
