Does this need to be hardwired into the router? Or can I connect it to wifi and then connect it to a dvr?

That would be redundant. Like adding a middleman. Hardwire the DVR or connect the DVR via wifi.

Does this come with the cords?

What cords are you referring to? It does come with the power supply and cord to connect it to the router. It also comes with one SHORT (perhaps 5 ft) Cat 5 cord to connect your modem to the router. PS...that will leave 3 empty gigabit ports open on your router....but no cords are included for those.

Are the antenna removable?

No. The antenna to this device are not removable.

How is the setup process? Is there any technical support online that I could reach out for setup? Would it be super complicated?

it is plug and play. It is very easy. There is support on line as well as an app for the unit.
