First Aid for the USMLE Step 1 2019, Twenty-ninth edition

I am a medical student in Poland and it's tough to find good resources to prepare for USMLE Step 1 when your school's orientation of the curriculum isn't preparing you in the same direction as what USMLE Step 1 focuses on.This book is enough to give you passing score if you understand and memorize every concept inside the book.Don't forget to also get the USMLE Rx Videos because it helps you understand what every page is talking about. Without watching the video I felt it's very hard to understand how everything is connected from the mechanism to the symptom and to the treatment or even the comparison in differences between the diseases. The most important thing is that it picks out the most important corners where USMLE Step 1 try to separate un-prepared student from prepared student. For example, you can understand every characteristics of the Crohn Disease but if you don't know the key differences between Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn Disease, then you will get a score the same as a student who doesn't know anything about Crohn Disease. The total duration of weeks to accomplish it to a good quality is about 6 weeks (Including videos and annotations from the videos).

Este es un muy buen libro con un gran contenido resumido, ideal para un repaso general para presentar el examen USMLE Step 1.

Produto chegou em poucos dias (pedi numa sexta-feira, chegou na segunda-feira, muito rápido). Veio em boas condições, o conteúdo é o que eu esperava, vai ser bastante útil no meu preparo para as provas, possui várias seções além apenas da parte prática de conhecimento. Qualidade da capa muito boa. Recomendo

I have received my First Aid 2019 and very happy to own it! I saw on Amazon that some buyers complained about ink on pages and some printing issues. So, I expected to have such issues. However, my book came very clean and without any ink!!!!The content is great, very informative and all high yield facts are in one place. The explanations are easy and design of tables, diagrams are capturing and easy to follow. The review with First Aid will be enjoyable, I suspect!Thank you, Amazon for quick delivery! This book is very good review for Step 1. I am an IMG from Germany and used First Aid to review the relevant subject for Step 1. It is important to note that topics are not covered in great detail, so you should have studied them with lectures or other sources before. But for a quick review, First Aid has all the relevant information and helpful mnemonics.Of course this cannot be the only resource for Step 1, but this my main go-to for studying. I used both the digital ebook and the paper version, I mainly read in the paper version. I annotated the digital version to add my own notes and pictures and mark important concepts, and I found it very easy to navigate the book. It it also portable enough to take with you in a backpack.
