This is the fourth bar grinder. I’ve owned in my lifetime and to tell you the truth it is my favorite one I’ve ever owned.My most recent Bird grinder was a Breville and while this doesn’t have all the fancy electronically.it’s built extremely well where it matters.The grind is extremely consistent as well as not making a mess on my kitchen as the feed tube works very well with the system and puts the grains where they’re supposed to go!The other item that I’m extremely pleased with is when I measure out my 22 g for my aero press and grind the beans I have almost no loss due to the design of the top where you can clear the grinder extremely well.In addition, I have used it to do some grinds for espresso shots and it’s done an extremely great job on this as well.I am definitely looking forward to many years of use out of this grinder and would definitely buy again.

This grinder is an amazing deal and I wouldn’t be surprised if the price increases in the future.Great consistency. For the same beans a setting I get the same espresso brew time and taste.Relatively easy to dial in. Stepless and large dial makes it easy to set and dial.Not static which and without RDT. No noticeable clumping. I also could not notice a flow or taste improvement with WDT, which I assume means it’s relatively clump free.Bad retention without using the bellow. The bellow is messy, but if you use it the retention is max .1gReliability. The burr holder is machine aluminum, it’s a beautiful piece, although I do not know the tolerance between units, it appears well machine. The rest of the grinder is decent plastic. The hopper is ugly.

First off received the grinder at a price point of 139 plus tax. I stumbled onto this model from Toms Cafe channel on youtube. Now i am a Bezzera Matrix niche zero df64 and df64 and Firiozanto grinders and espresso type of person i owned and still own all that gear. Right out of the box pulling a shot of Ophea bean at i took a shot 15 setting. It ran alittle fast and i knew im dialing it in and maybe shot woukd be bad. For a fast shot on this grinder out of the box it tasted really good. This grinder grinded the beans so fast i thought i woukd choke the puck because of the sapace in the portafilter but it grinded like lightning. The grinds lokk great not clumped. This is ophea beans are dense. My df 54 takes much longer i know df54 is a 54 mm but still this grinder pulls out like a fieronzato grinder plus ut has a magnetic chute that is amazing. NOW! i do not know the longe ity of the grunder woth regular use but this is a steel inner chamber of the grinder and standard 64mm blades you can get better ones if you like but im impressed. I gave it a 4 instead of 5 because its a plastic body. The plastic is not the worse plastic. Its strong but for the proce point this is the best bang fir your buck. Its true its a DF64 but in a plastic body.

Grinds very fine that will choke most machines at its lowest setting. Great grind consistency. Low retention if bellows are used. Best value grinder under $350.I bought this grinder after watching and reading reviews praising the performance. After 3 weeks of use, pulling about 3-5 shots daily, this machine has given me amazing results for a $150 grinder. It really is a DF64 in a plastic body. The internals are all metal, which is where it matters the most. I think you’d find it difficult to find a better bang for the buck than this grinder.Pros:- It grinds lightning fast (about 2g per sec).- make sure you align the burrs to find the zero point. If you do it correctly, (there are many videos on YT) you’ll realize this grinds very fine at its lowest. Espresso range is steps 1-20. I started at 10 and it choked my machine. Moved to 15 and still was very slow. I’m at 18-20 for most beans and pulls perfect 2:1 shots.- this has low retention as long as you use the bellows it comes with. I tested without bellows and it ate about .5-.7 of coffee. With the bellows, I consistently get .0-.1 off. Use the bellows.- this machine has legit metal 64mm burrs. And even more, they are fully swappable. Meaning you can buy this, swap the burrs for ssp burrs and it would still be cheaper than DF64.Cons:- it’s not a quiet grinder. It’s not the loudest either but having used Eureka in the past, this makes some noise that’s expected.- the body is plastic. Some may not like the look and feel. LED screen that serves its purpose but it nothing special. Not a big deal but it’s not exactly pretty as more expensive grinder can be on the counter.- the hopper and bellows are ugly. I’ve read the Eureka Atom single doser fits this but I haven’t gone down that road yet.- being a new product from a relatively unknown company, obvious concerns about longevity, repairs, and customer service are all there. They do include a 2 year warranty but have yet to see what that will look like when issues occur. 6-12 months from now I may be singing a different tune. Only time will tell.At $150 (price when I purchased) I don’t think there’s a better bang for the buck espresso grinder on the market. I’d recommend for any on a budget and wanting great espresso. 5*

This is a heavy-duty commercial coffee bean grinder. It is fast and does a great job. It's very simple to operate once you see how it works. We use it at home and we love it (we are big coffee drinkers).

It is easy to use, easy to clean, easy to adjust the grind and is not extremely loud. I recommend this grinder to anyone looking for a good starter grinder for your commercial business. Or use at home.

The media could not be loaded. This is a great coffee grinder as long as you are not trying to use it for espresso. Espresso requires a much finer grind to create the pressure required to extract the coffee essences. The finest that this grinder will do would be a drip coffee. There is no additional adjusting with the burr inside like it is with other espresso grinders like the Breville. You can adjust the grind on the breville so fine that the espresso machine will literally stop and not allow water to get through.
