So much fun at an excellent value
After being scammed out of 4 bikes from another seller, I decided to order myself a Funhang Eb-C2. I decided I wanted an electric bike after my husband and I borrowed my in laws one weekend. We had a lot of fun but I wasn’t too fond of the fat tires on their bikes. I like that this bike has the thinner tires. I am 5’3” and 135lbs. This bike feels super lightweight and like a regular bike to me. Especially compared to my in-laws. I love the blue color. Honestly I haven’t had the need to leave pedal assist 2. I start with one and can get up to 16 mph pedaling with no throttle. I use pedal assist 2 most of the time and can get up to the max speed of 21.6 pedaling alone. I only use the throttle when taking off or crossing a busy road. The brakes and bike itself were squeaky at first but now I don’t notice any sound. I have already purchased a few accessories and plan to at least upgrade the seat. Even with the smaller tires the bike rides smoothly and feels very stable. I feel much more comfortable and confident riding this bike compared to my mother in laws heavy fat tire bike. I definitely recommend this as a budget friendly option as a starter bike. Also, I have only had the bike assembled for two days. I have put 22 miles on it and I fluctuate between two and 3 bars. When I press the power button on the battery it says I still have 40-70% of battery life left. I also want to add that I ordered this and received it in 3 days. One day earlier than the earliest estimated delivery date. I live on the East Coast and my bike shipped via FedEx out of New Jersey. Also check out the Funhang public Facebook page. It has a lot of great information on these bikes.

Excellent e-bike.
Bike arrived fairly quickly. I was able to unbox and assemble the bike in about an hour, no special skills required, the hard parts are already assembled. Very pleased by the overall quality of the ebike. Performs as advertised, the only complaint I might have is that the disc brakes are a bit squeaky. Looks nice and a friend of mine now wants me to get one for him. Overall very happy with the purchase.

Overall good value (not great, but good enough)
The ebike is powerful enough for me. I live on a hill that is mostly 10% grade with one portion at 15%. I can easily go up the hill in the lowest gear and the assist set at level 2 out of 5, so I'm happy. I'm 5'11" and the seat height can be adjusted to fit my legs. However, the handlebars feel too close, even when adjusted at the maximum tilt. This also makes the steering "twitchy" and sensitive. I wanted to replace the angled handlebar stem with a straight one, but once the front wheel is attached, the brake cables are too short to pull the handlebars. Attaching the front wheel was the toughest part of the assembly, I had to flip the ebike upside down and it's very heavy. I don't want to go through that process again, so I'll just live with the twitchy steering. The motor controller senses the cadence, not the pedal torque, so the assist takes a couple of cycles to kick in. This makes it hard to start up again when I stop half way up a hill. If I try to use the twist throttle, the speed jumps up too fast and it's easy to lose control and fall. So it's good enough and worth the low price, but not perfect.

Great!
I just hit 2000 miles on this bike, I've only had it since early March, and I'm only just now seeing my first few issues. An error code (E 07 — motor) only popping up after two thousand miles and being a very hardy bike overall is fantastic. Awesome bike, just got to fix that error and we're good. 10/10, would give more than t stars if I could. Love this thing, it gets me my full round trip commute on one charge, gets good speed and it's comfortable to ride on once you get used to the seat (and maybe get a seat pad, like I did). Nice bike with good acceleration and honestly just a great starter ebike. Doesn't hit 50 miles like it's advertised to, but it hits about 20, which is more than I need in one round trip. It takes a 35 grade hill pretty well, steady 10-13mph uphill without pedaling, 15+ with pedaling set to pedal assist 5. Will be buying a second battery to increase my travelable distance, and probably also will be getting a new motor since it's giving a little trouble (probably the hall sensor), but overall I do really love this thing. 2k miles is great, especially since I put this bike through hell. I've had three crashes and multiple wipeouts, because apparently I am awful at riding a bike, but that's alright, this thing is quite durable. Tl;Dr nice bike, fantastic for the price. Would definitely recommend.

They keep getting better.
What a great little e-bike! I've been riding e-bikes for 13 years and every couple of years selling and buying a new one. The last two were the cheapest ones I could find that met my needs for comfort and ease of operation. I live in a hilly area so power to pull up hills is important. Even though the power rating of the motor is less (500 watts) than the first e-bike I had (750 watts), the torque rating is higher (56 Newton meters compared to 50 N-m). The controls are easy to understand. The steps programmed into the assistance controller give you the following in mph: 0, 6, 9, 12, 15 21) The controller can be programmed for faster but for me 21 mph is fast enough on a bicycle. The shifter and disc brakes are good enough and I appreciate the luggage rack and fenders. After assembly, I rode 6 miles and the battery showed little difference in charge. The seat is comfortable compared to most and the positioning of the handlebars is easy enough to change for maximum comfort. I might put a wider, more padded seat on it. There is a headlight and a horn. There is no tail light or brake light but there are plenty of possibilities for mounting one. Another improvement since my last bike was the peddle assist function staying engaged after you quit peddling. On this one, it cuts out within a second after you quit peddling. On my other bike, the motor would stay engaged for a full 2 seconds afterward which could be quite dangerous when crossing busy streets.

Amazing Electric Bike for the family!
I purchased this funhang Electric Bike for Adults, it’s a Step Thru Electric Bicycle, 26" about a week ago. The bike came on time and assembled in less than 15 minutes. This bike is absolutely amazing! It is a Fun, solid, fast and smooth E-Bike. Everything works better than expected. Pictures do no justice. It’s very stylish. I am 5’7” and it is perfect height for me, but it does have an adjustable seat and handle bars. That being said stick with FUNHANG! I went with the Gray Silver bike. It has 7 speeds, front suspension with disc brakes with a 1000W peak motor that tops out at 21.7mph which when going is a fast speed even going uphill it stays the momentum. This bike rides so nice! I’ve been looking and researching electric bikes for a few months now and I finally found exactly the right one for me and my family which I will be purchasing two more, so we can all go ride!

Great bike!
I researched e-bikes extensively since this was my first purchase, and overall I recommend. I had tried a friend's bike, and test-rode a few in stores, and I greatly prefer this one. A few different comments: - Very stylish - I really like the look. - Weight - all e-bikes I tried were heavier than a manual bike, but I found this one fairly early to maneuver as a fairly fit 60 year old woman. - A few tweaks needed when I first received and assembled, but tech support was prompt, polite, and helpful (typically less than 1 day for email response) - In a few weeks, I have put on over 200 miles with no post-installation issues, and I really enjoy the bike for street and paved trail use in an area with rolling hills. - The throttle does work a little different than I thought - the max speed will vary based on your PAS (pedal assist) setting. For example, the max throttle speed is about 9 mph on PAS 2, and only about 6 mph with PAS 1. So it's a good boost when your trying to get pedaling from a dead stop on an upslope but won't get you going very fast at low PAS settings without a lot of extra pedaling. When you release the throttle, and when you are starting from a dead stop, it takes a few revolutions of the pedals until the motor assist starts to kick in. - Nice controller that is easy to read, showing the speed, miles, and battery life. - You can also see the battery voltage which is good to monitor how much life is left. As with most lithium batteries, the voltage will drop more quickly when the battery is about to run out of power, so it's good to test it out. - Ride is smooth, seat is comfortable, step-through frame is easy to use, and brakes are a little sluggish but effective - From a price/value standpoint, I don't think you'll find a better deal!

Good starter e-bike
The Funhang is a decent bike. First off, it arrives packaged very securely and takes about an hour to finish the assembly. It’s solidly built, the motor is spunky enough to handle a 225 pound man up some fairly steep hills, and the brakes are not bad. The saddle is ok but I may switch it out and add a suspension saddle stem but overall not bad. There is ghost pedaling in assist mode if you’re in lower gears but better in gear 3 and up. It is an heavy bike so starting from a dead stop can be a struggle so I have taken to using the throttle when crossing an intersection. Throttle propulsion without pedaling can only be accomplished in assist level three or above. It’s easy enough to ride without pedal assist once it’s moving. So far I have put 100 miles on it in about a week and I switch between no assist and level one for flat or moderate uphill riding with no problems. It’s enjoyable to ride. Just know what it is you are buying. Don’t expect a premium ride here. All in all, for $400 delivered, it’s a very serviceable e-bike and it will whet your appetite for e-bikes.
