Bigger than it looks in the pictures.
It's just arrived and is much larger than I was expecting so it'll be no good for backpacking. However, it will be ideal for family camping trips and save me fromhaving to walk to and from the nearest taps to fill up bottles every hour.I've not used it yet but it has no funky smell to it as some plastic products have and seems tough and durable.

Tap not very sturdy
Tap snapped off on the first day of using so had to scoop Out water with a small cup for the rest of the camping holiday

Great bit of kit
Folds down nicely when not in use, no leaks so far (Used 5 times) no nasty taste in the water form this either.

Too flimsy
I loved this water carrier to start with, the canister itself is sturdy and great that it collapses. But the water comes out too slowly and there is no option to leave it running and take your hand off the valve. On my second use the valve snapped when using it, it’s far too flimsy.

Great design and good capacity but....
This is a terrific idea for a water carrier that holds a good capacity that collapses down to an easy to pack size. It looks good and once “unfolded” creates a stable base. Ideal for my camping trips...or so I thought. It came with me on my first belated camping trip because of the Coronavirus situation and immediately I had my tent and various equipment in place, I duly strode off to find the nearest drinking water tap to fill my brand new Outwell container for the very first time. And this is when the wheels fell off (metaphorically speaking). Put simply, the tap doesn’t work. In the off position, it let’s through almost as much water as when it’s open. I’ve tried to adjust the tap all different ways and still no difference. I took it off the container and presented it at a large camping/caravan accessories shop and was promptly met with “Don’t tell me, it’s a tap from an Outwell Collaps water carrier and it leaks all the time.” A common problem by all accounts. Unfortunately Outwell do not supply replacement or spare taps so I would have to buy a new container - and maybe have the same problem! Not at £28 a time!! I contacted Outwell and explained the situation and they informed me that because it was 3 months after I’d bought the container before I used it, I couldn’t say it was faulty! In other words, they didn’t want to know. So, if you’re thinking of buying a collapsible water carrier, it’s still a brilliant idea - just don’t buy the Outwell version. At £28 it’s an expensive mistake and lousy customer care.

Great design, apart from the tap!
Wanted a folding water carrier that would sit flat. The design of this is great, until you want to use it - our tap broke after 1 use, rendering it totally unusable.Disappointingly, Outwell wouldn't replace.Gutted.

Make sure you tighten the tap well.
Great collapsible container. Just make sure you tighten the tap nut fully to prevent leakage.
