Can the can go directly in the microwave or does the product need to be emptied into a bowl first?

Emptied into a microwaveable bowl. Metal cans can not go into the microwave.

How well are these packed for shipping?  Is the box marked in such a way that delivery isn't tossed/dropped at the front door?

I had three of the 128oz size (4 jars to an order) smashed before a 4th order finally made it thru. Amazon as the seller and shipper on all four and UPS as the carrier. Amazon made no effort to pad the box at all and while reordering was easy tho I had to speak to a customer service rep each time, it was annoying to have to do it three times because of their poor packaging. The box with the four, one gallon glass jars weighs 45 lbs!
