Bane Conquest

Bane as he was meant to be
There are few writers that know Bane for who he really is. Gail Simone is one of them and so is Chuck Dixon, his creator. The problem many run into with Bane is that they write him as the guy who broke Batman and so he likes to break other people. That's not true. There's more to Bane than just Batman and this book proves it. It's Bane as a person with a code and ambition. He's not a henchman. He's a leader and one who inspires.

It was kind of fun
It was a fun little book. The ending seemed rushed but it was fun while it lasted.

Bane fans have some reading to do
Yes! Everything about this! If you love Bane and feel like he hasn’t been given his due justice in a while, this big book of bane is for you in good old chuck Dixon fashion. I loved every page!

Big fan of Bane, had a lot of fun with this.
Doesn't have the most dynamic or complex story but it has its moments. Bane is my favorite comic book villain so it was great seeing him get his own mini-series.

Dixon & Nolan's swan song with DC
Co-creators of Bane, Chuck Dixon and Graham Nolan, came back to work for DC one last time in 2017-18. Both Chuck and Graham are legendary among avid comic book readers because of their magnificent story telling. Through brilliant storylines and gorgeous artwork they took The Dark Knight mythos to a whole new level of fictional tales. This is a fantastic story that fell through the cracks because of poor promotion for the title by DC Comics and a weird release schedule. Although the story centers around Bane, there are more than a few other DC characters that make appearances. An excellent overall book.

By far my favorite Batman comic so far!
Bane: Conquest is all I ever wanted in a Comic about the amazingly written villain: Bane. The plot as a whole is consistent and fun to read. Nolan's Artwork is Beautiful and wonderfully detailed. Filled to the brink with Little fun Details here and there. And ofcourse the starring characters being Bane's painfully underrated 3-man Crew! It was a delight to see Bane's original gang from Santa Priska work together. Especially Bird's occasional sass and punchlines made me chuckle mutliple times!Alltogether I can very much say I loved every second of reading it and wish there was a direct Sequel! :)
