Warm, but there's no way you'll fit your finger in a trigger guard!
I ordered two pairs of these for my son and myself for a winter backpacking/hunting trip, because they seemed like a great value and are highly rated on Amazon.Although they're marked "M", they fit my normally "XL" and my son's "L" hands just fine. The gloves kept my hands warm in temperatures hovering around 20 degrees F, but are so bulky and restrictive as to make doing any activities around the campsite nearly impossible. The included instructions say not to use the inner gloves alone. For milder temperatures, you're supposed to just wear the mittens. And forget about shooting with the outer mittens on! The mittens are so bulky, that there's simply no way to fit your finger into the trigger guard of any civilian gun I can think of. I could force my finger into the trigger guard of my Glock, M4, and AK guns (but not my 1911 or Savage hunting rifles) and then raise the gun to target. Your finger is then pressed against the trigger and right on the verge of tripping the sear, plus you have no "feel", because of all the bulk and layers. Crazy. There's no way I could do this while drawing the weapon and maintaining proper finger/trigger discipline. The inner gloves work fine for shooting, but are no warmer on their own than any light or medium weight glove, and they don't have any grippy surface.Considering the price, I'm happy with the purchase as an emergency pair of winter gloves to keep with my backpacking gear, but I don't see how these are practical for shooting.

Warm but bulky.
I am giving this 5 stars because they are warm, durable, and serve the purpose they were designed for. They are not the most comfortableGlove. They are not the most versatile. They are not oozing with dexterity.I wear camo tactical gloves walking to my stand. When I get there, I’ve put these on and they are great. Keep my hands warm and I can shoot.Downfalls is they smelled musty. I usually wear a xl but the mediums seems to be okay, only a little small but the wool stretched. The mitten is a good cover glove over anything you normally wear.I cut the strings. Thinking of actually waxing them for water repellency.Hard to put on, take off. Bulky.

Toxic stench
I could see these authentic mitts being useful, but the stench of toxic petroleum distillates cannot be washed out, and it's impossible to believe the seller doesn't know about this problem some the is repackaging them. Given this flaw I cannot recommend.

Good quality US made gloves.
Bought these for late fall / winter deer hunting trips. For the price you can’t go wrong with these gloves. Nice and warm with the included wool liners. I have large hands and the medium size fits perfect. Can hold and fire my firearms just fine. The only rifle I have trouble with is my Marlin 1895 lever action. Kinda hard to squeeze the mitten part into the lever. So the gloves work good with most rifles, excepts lever guns unless you have the bigger lever ring on your gun. However these will not work with handguns. Way to big to get your finger onto the trigger. Over all, good quality and product for a very cheap price.

Nice hard use mittens
I wear a large in gloves, the medium size fits nice allowing plenty of room for all four fingers. For a hard use type mitten this is a deal for a set of over mittens and a set of liners. The mittens I received has the tether cord as well. Liners were a little tight / stiff at first use and sofented up nicely within half hour or so. Again for a hard use mitten this is a deal compared to any mitten / line combo on the commercial market.

Mediocre
Bought these for hunting but even just the wool gloves are too thick to fit your finger in the trigger guard. Other than that they make great ATV gloves on cold winter days. They keep you warm but bulky. Sized small. Wool is very itchy.

Just like what I wore in the army. Nice and warm.
Warm, very durable and look new. Same gloves they issued me in the Army. Come with inserts. If you live in an area that gets cold(like Maine), then these gloves are for you.

Seems that the sizing runs large otherwise there great
I would have given a 5 star rating but after my years in the Army I always had medium in my TA50 whenever I changed duty stations and they were always a perfect fit what I received from here says medium but it is the largest medium I have ever seen aside from that they are great
