Sanus Systems AFA Accurate Furniture Audio Stand - Black

I bought one of these in 2008. Many years, and moves, later it is still rock solid. Plan to buy a second one and was glad to see they are still made. Will update this review is the 2024 model is any different.

These shelves are solid, spacious and very easy to assemble. This is my second set of these shelves, I had to buy a second set in order to add on to the ones that I have now. Sanus doesnt sell the extra shelves and pillars for this particular shelving unit

Perfect for my gear. I ordered 2 and made an extra tall rack.

My first one came damaged. I got a second one and it was fine. I have since bought another one and it came in good, Sturdy cabinet and easy assembly. I have 2 of these cabinets so that should say it all.

The shelves are MDF inside, with a nice smooth black plastic veneer on top and sides. Underside of shelves is a bit rough but painted black. They seem very solid and are rated to support more weight than similar stands I looked at.As others have mentioned, assembly is easy, just thread supplied pins into the threaded ends of the large silver tubes and sandwich each shelf layer between tubes ends.A great feature is that one can easily leave out one or both of the middle shelves to make a shorter stand to allow for a taller equipment stack on top.

So glad I opted for this stand. It only took 10 minutes to assemble. The vertical posts are sturdy tubular metal threaded at each end. You can tighten the tubes by hand as much as you want. The supplied Allen key is only needed for the top 4 bolts. This thing is solid as a rock. The base feet are adjustable for levelling purposes. A super purchase!

I got this through warehouse deals, and though the box was damaged, the unit was in perfect condition. It's very, very, very heavy - definitely takes two to carry this in.Super easy to put together - just screw in the legs, put the shelf on, screw in more legs. It's much sturdier than I expected from the pictures. The shelves are very heavy duty MDF, and the legs are heavy aluminum. Once it's all put together, it's super solid.The top shelf holds 100#, and each shelf below holds 75#. Should be good enough for almost any home theater unless you have massive amps.It has a cable spot in the back to run all your wiring. It's not super attractive, but it's hidden in my A/V closet and controlled via a Logitech Harmony Hub remote, so no one sees it. It'd be fine for a bachelor living in an apartment, but not quite sophisticated enough to keep on display, in my opinion.I was going to build my own shelves, but after pricing it out to do it right, this was a cheaper way to go. It does off-gas, like someone else mentioned. After about 24 hours sitting in my garage, I felt comfortable moving it to my basement.

The Sanus stand arrived in 3 days, and took about 15 minutes to assemble, looks great, is sturdy and perfect shelf spacing.It was also $80 less than the local audio stores sale price. As a matter of fact, I liked it so much I bought a second one a week later, and I've got plans to buy a third one. This is not the first audio shelving unit I've purchased, but its the best deal by far. Can't say enough about this rack, just great!, .

I purchased two of these stands to support my 75 inch Samsung Q70 TV and stereo system. Very simple to assemble. less than 30 mins for both. Very sturdy with spacious shelves. Adjustable feet for leveling. 100% satisfied

This was the easiest piece of furniture I have ever had to assemble. Instructions and part numbering made this an easy assembly. Finished unit is sturdy and looks good

Good little rack for my sunroom system, goes together easily. It was a good buy for C$170.00 last September.

Great sturdy stand. My only issue with this is the delivery. As you can see on the photo attached, the top shelf had shipping damage. Its a lot of work to return this since it's heavy so I'm hoping Amazon can do something as an alternative about this.
