Cotton Padded Swing Chair

I've wanted a hammock swing for what seems like forever and I finally got around to ordering one. This one didn't come with a hanging kit so I bought a heavy-duty one that has a very strong strap made out of the same material as a seatbelt. It is supposed to be capable of holding 1,000 pounds, and the heavy-duty carabiner is rated for 1,500 pounds. I'll have to take their word for it because I have no way of testing that kind of weight. The swing itself is made of 100 percent cotton and it has a very large wooden dowel at the top of it to hold its shape. My seven-year-old grandson and his daddy tested the swing together and it held very securely. They hung on it, swung on it, and pulled on it all to make sure that the entire setup would hold securely and safely. That's more weight than will be in it usually so that's good enough for me.We hung it from a branch in the shade of my apple tree. My grandson could hardly wait to swing on it after the initial "test." The following morning he called to see if he could come play again because he wanted a longer chance to test out the swing! I've also enjoyed it. It hangs high enough off the ground for kids to play in, but also low enough that I can get in and out of it easily and still have my feet on the ground enough to feel comfortable using it. It is easy to be lulled just sitting in the chair gently rocking back and forth. We have a fish pond with a waterfall in our backyard, along with a trampoline that my grandkids, nieces and nephews love to play on. Of course they always need an audience. This swing is the perfect place to interact with them as they play or to just plain relax in the quiet when everyone's gone home.

Southern hospitality traditionally includes a lovely cool drink under a big shady tree with family and friends gathered on the porch; this swing is the perfect addition to that scenario! It's comfortable, well-made, and oh-so-cool! So, if you've got the summertime "itch" and would like to include a little porch swing in your life, this is the one!! And, if you camp, just add the nylon webbed-tree-hook, which makes this a perfect camp chair.

Purchased this chair on a whim, because the price was right. Didn't know what to expect. We are using it/have it attached to a big old tree. It is wonderful. It is comfy and cozy. Everyone loves it. My children love to read in it. My husband loves to relax in it. Having a "back cushion" gives it more shape then some of the other "hammock seats" out there. You need to purchase the "hanging" materials including a steel "bracket" for attaching to the roping you choose. I imagine it will get dirty pretty quick because it is so white/lite. Shipped really quickly.

Very simple to install as long as you buy the hardware, ie chain, hooks, etc. Once installed, it's pretty comfortable, especially for children. It's a more comfortable alternative to sitting on a hard swing.Installation was not that complex. The only issue was getting the right chain height to include the sag/stretch of the chair when seated.The only problem I have with it is it's lack of upper body support. It was designed for a reclined position. However, there is no support for your head and neck if you recline back so it's not that comfortable in that position.The color is so light that I definitely have to remove it daily for fear that one rain storm or bird droppings will be very noticeable on this fabric and unstained wood. However, it does seem well made. I will use this for now but in the future will purchase one where the back length is much taller/longer. At least the price was decent.

After I received it, I was so excited to get it. 3 weeks later, We took our first camping trip and hung it up. This is what i bought it for. Within 5 hours, the bottom broke away from the seat. It states people over a 100 pounds can be in it, when it broke my 78 pound kid was in it. I never received my money back as the company said I didn't contact them within the correct amount of time. I would never buy from this company. I don't feel they are professional in getting back to their responses. Customer support is not good.

My son has PDD Nos and has sensory issues and this is excellent for him! It hugs you gently when you sit in it. I placed it indoors in a nook area next to my living room that isn't very big. It is an attractive seat with a neutral linen color that goes with everything. I have a small home so I placed it just far enough from the wall that I can swing him away but not too far that it gets in the way of anyone walking around the house. It is perfect and extremely relaxing. Great for those areas in the house that you don't know what to do with. I put plants around it and made it like a little oasis. My son is sleeping in it as I write this. It is a nice size seat and leans back just enough that one can nap in it. I sit in it too and love it. I used a medium sized O hook into the ceiling and one thick S hook. My ceilings aren't very high so I did away with any chains. Highly recommend!

I loved this swing chair. It lasted four years. That is a lot considering that it was always outdoors in the desert with the elements, rain or shine, and many times strong winds. (With occasional minimal storage). I wanted to try a different kind, so I purchased another type of swing chair but was disappointed with the other and returned it. This one was made with two layers of fabric with a thin sponge pad type of insert in between both layers. The fabric layers were very strong and sturdy. It seemed as though it was made of a canvas material. At one point it tore in between the cushioned seat area, but I patched it up with a jean type of material. It was still great! I was disappointed that it recently tore again along one edge, I was going to try to patch it up/repair it again but figured it was time to obtain a new one. I will purchase this item again.
