Big fan of Matcha! It’s a pricey item, but this particular brand is a great potent powder for its cost (compared to others). The first time I followed the instructions of the amount to use and personally it was a little too strong for me (I prefer less of an earthy taste). I cut back to just over a teaspoon of mix to use in my 12oz and 16oz lattes and think it’s perfect! I like to add ice, milk and almond or vanilla syrup and 👌! I also purchased a $6 handheld milk frother wand off Amazon to do the mixing and I feel like my own barista! I would occasionally treat myself to a matcha latte at local coffee stands and also Starbucks from $7-$9 a pop! Now I can make my own for way less! So happy I found this brand! BUY IT!!!

I really enjoy this matcha- it is great quality and a really decent amount for the price- I’ve bought it twice now and will note that I feel the matcha in my first order was a bit nicer, but the change is so small that if you don’t drink it every day you wouldn’t notice- it overall has a really nice taste!! It gives me a nice boost of energy, and I am very particular about getting 100% matcha instead of a latte mix- and this brand fits the bill perfectly!

this matcha is great for an everyday latte, and the amount you get for the price point is amazing. this is definitely a good option for an everyday matcha, but i will say that the flavor profile is more on the grassier side and definitely needs sweetener if you prefer sweeter matchas. the quality definitely surpasses the price point, though, and it is a great affordable option to have! the texture is great and easy to whisk, the color is green but isn't as vibrant as some of the other matchas, but i do like that it still has an authentic taste and still tastes quite rich. definitely worth a buy if you are a beginner matcha lover and are looking to try different matchas!

I'm a beginner matcha enthusiast, and naturally came upon hojicha while getting acquainted with matcha, testing various brands on Amazon. While I do love the green, vegetal, grassy taste of matcha, I REALLY love the nutty, roasty toasty chocolatey taste of roasted matcha; aka hojicha. Now I will say I have not tasted any other hojicha brands to compare this to, so I really have no reference point for what is considered good, bad, or mediocre hojicha. However that being said I find this stuff to be a great introduction to it in my amateur opinion. It's affordable, tastes great, blends perfectly with a matcha whisk or electric milk frother, and in a pinch I've even used a fork! It tastes absolutely devine in a hojicha latte with milk and sweetener (if any) of your choice. My preferred method is to prepare it like matcha with the bamboo whisk, but add a teaspoon or so of cocoa powder and a healthy pinch of cinnamon! The flavors go together so well. The drink in the photo attached is a hojicha latte with peanut butter cream on top! Tasted like a Reese's cup in a glass. Heavenly! Just take some heavy cream and a spoonful of peanut butter, sprinkle of sugar if you want, hit it with a milk frother and BAM. Delicious, thick, luscious creamy peanut butter cream to dollop atop your hojicha and cocoa latte. Thank me later!

You have to use two teaspoons to get the same amount of matcha flavor as one teaspoon from other brands. Misleading since you have to scan their QR code to get directions on how much to use. Other than that, the flavor is fine, it blends well, and it does have the normal energy increase.
