Will definitely refer to people
The item shipped right on time before the snow & cold weather hit. So of course, I had to try it out. It was 20° in my area & I tested the sleeping bag by using it in a vehicle that had set overnight (without turning on the heat). Once I was enclosed in the sleeping bag, I stayed in the vehicle for 2 hours & did not get cold at all. I was thouroughly impressed. If it wasn't for the fact that I had to work later on that day, I could have stayed in the vehicle longer. With the wind chill & cold weather combined, I could not tell that I was outdoors. This is definitely a great product!!

part of it broke but I like it
The little cord that cinches to your head to make it a mummy bag broke. I had to try to jerry-rig it to make it work again, and it's still not perfect but it's more than adequate. Probably the first night while I was removing the bag I overstretched it. Also the second time I tried to open the main zipper it got stuck and I had to work with it to get it unstuck. Anyway it's not super high quality construction. However, I slept in this in 25 degree weather fahrenheit and I was pretty comfortable. In the mid 30s I was extremely comfortable. Way better than a blanket. Once I get the mummy part all figured out I'm thinking I'll be okay down to the teens and maybe even to the rated temperature of zero. And after all it is a bargain sleeping bag so I'm not going to complain about little stuff. When I get inside, I'm pretty warm. So bottom line is I'm okay with it, but yes this is not the best available sleeping bag. I was going to give it 5 stars despite the broken parts but I guess that is not really correct, 5 stars should be reserved for everything working perfectly.

Great for an everyday smaller storage footprint bag, not good as a compression backpacking bag.
I really liked this sleeping bag and had I bought it for just an everyday sleeping bag I would have kept it. What I did not like is that it was billed as a “compressible” sleeping bag “great for backpacking”. This bag does not meet that criteria in my opinion.First of all I think the makers of “compression” bags in general need to speak to the makers of “Spanx” any woman who has ever worn these knows the difference between “compression” and simply “squishing” something down. When you put straps on a bag then tell some one to pull down on them to tighten and “compress” your just SQUISHING! Your bag turns into a can of biscuits that now bulges out the sides instead of being taller. Good grief! Who comes up with this? I should give up my job in education and go Into marketing! Needless to say, I returned my sleeping bag of squashed biscuits. To the credit of this particular manufacturer they are not the sole culprit, once I had first hand experience I knew what I was NOT looking for and was able to focus my search to avoid biscuit bags.So if you are looking for a sleeping bag that won’t take up as much room as your average bag. Go for it. I recommend. If you are looking for a small “compressed” bag for backpacking or kayaking. Avoid the straps trap!

It is worth the price, nice roomy sleeping bag
Nice roomy sleeping bag. The flannel is not of the thick type; however, it is a comfortable flannel. I like the anti pinch zipper that is a big help when it is a very cool night and you want to get in and get warm quickly. My only dislike is the outer covering is very slick. This can make the bag slide more easily when you are moving and/or turning over in the bag. Having said that, the outside being slick and a water-resistant polyester material is also a plus for keeping you dry and I believe helping the bag to not absorb liquids and that may help in keeping stains from setting in. Maybe they could put a few "grip strips" across the outside of the bag to help with sliding. I really like the bag and have used it several times with no problems. It is worth the price.

This sleeping bag is awesome! I really love it because it is exactly what I was looking for. Surprisingly, this sleeping bag is beyond my expectations. After looking around at different sleeping bags, I chose to buy this one. Unlike other traditional sleeping bags, Reisen sleeping bag offers incredible features, especially in the design of the head part. My head felt warm because I can adjust the hood and lock in heat. I was impressed that when I slept in it, I felt very comfortable due to the cotton fill material. There is an internal pouch which allows me to put some valuables in it. Indeed, with its water-resistant polyester, I do not need to worry about getting wet. It is exactly the same as advertised. I would recommend to buy Reisen sleeping bag! You will definitely pay less but get more!

Zipper completely broke on second night of use...but very comfortable and compact!
I LOVE how compact it gets! It makes packing and storage so nice! I really like how it has a pocket on the inside and the area for your head and pillow! The downside is that the second night 2nd night I used it the zipper broke. We were on a long camping trip so I was stuck without a zipper. Then I didn’t have time to return it before the next time I needed it. Luckily, it was warm out. I’m going to see how much it cost to get a zipper replaced. Would I buy it again? If I could start over I would buy a different bag. I would look for a bag with the same features but with a much better zipper. I had hoped the bag I got wouldn’t be like the reviews I had read. Since it’s used and I have had it for awhile I can’t return it I’m going to see if I can get the zipper replaced.

Interesting bag
The flannel isn’t as thick as I thought it would be, although it is still soft, and the zipper is weird- there is one for the bottom and a separate one for the side. I’m hopeful that this might turn out to be nice in warmer weather in that I can open the bottom and let my feet out. I’m concerned about the draft this will let in during cold weather, though, so it’s something to think about before purchasing. The color is fantastic, nice and bright just like the pictures.

how do u like to sleep out there in a cotton or a polybag ?
i wanted a large . warm . cotton lined . sleeping bag which will also fit in my osprey 60 liter backpack . this meets ALL the requirements. i will be travelling to the himalayas devikund kanakata pass this time around and i believe this is the perfect one. till now i used the ploymer lined stuffs which are virtually unsleepable for me. the packaging it came with is adequate. it also includes a compression bag which is a great help for packing it in the sack. i am very happy with this sleeping bag.
