The BEST for healing plantar fasciitis WITHOUT discomfort!
I am SO happy with these! I first bout with plantar fasciitis was back in 2011 and at the time all I could find to wear at night were these big boots that were extremely uncomfortable. This time around, needing to heal quickly before I climb a mountain and not willing to take a risk, I bought 3 items1) boots2) these socks3) an in-between sort of contraption that wrapped around front of shin and forefoot to keep foot uprightThe other two items were extremely uncomfortable - I couldn't get more than a few hours of sleep without waking up from pain or discomfort.I bought these socks last, wish I had bought them first, they are amazing!! They keep my foot up and even better they pull the toes up a bit, and if you feel discomfort you can easily adjust them.1 month of use and severe plantar fasciitis that I had for over 8 months is now completely gone! Going to keep wearing them until my mountain climb.I sleep the entire night with zero issue and the quality on these things is amazing - 0 difference between now and when I first bought them as far as how they hold my feet (some mild 'pilling' but I could care less about how pretty they are)A+ product that helped me to completely cure the most persistent injury I've ever had in my life.

It's well made, but perhaps needs a design tweak
PLEASE READ UPDATED REVIEW BELOW.Original Review (after 1 night):Before buying, I spent some time looking at several different brands and reading reviews here on Amazon. It seemed like there were a whole lot of bad reviews (more than 'normal') for every one of these sock-contraptions. It also seemed like there were two very different topics -- some reviews were about the construction and function of the sock, while others were about its medical benefits (or lack thereof). I'm primarily writing this to share my experience with the construction and function of the sock -- which seems good, and well-suited to its purpose. It arrived yesterday, and I've only used it one night, so far.. But it fit me just fine (I'm 5'-11" and 155 lbs), and it feels well-made. My issue is with my Achilles tendon, so it's not Plantar's Fascitis exactly. But I was able to easily adjust the tension on the strap to find the right setting for me. It also feels like this sock will allow me plenty of adjustment in both directions if/when I need it. And I didn't have any problem with the calf-collar slipping down and losing tension -- but if I had, I would have simply tightened it.I appreciated the advice from other reviewers to avoid letting the velcro hooks grab into the sock fabric (particularly when you aren't wearing it), as this will damage the sock fabric. Thanks for the heads-up on that.As for my results: after one night I can feel that it's going to work! Very excited!Updated Review (after 10 days):I began to have significant pain and/or numbness developing in my toes when I would wear the sock under tension. And I was unable to find a comfortable tension setting that still provided the needed stretch in my heel.Again, my issue is in my heel, and so I believe it's my Achilles tendon attachment, rather than my Plantars Fascia, that I'm trying to mend. I say that because the sock, under tension, forces the toes to flex strongly backward, up toward the knee. And in my case, not only is that painful, but also seemed wholly unnecessary for my issue. But I don't know if this toe-flex might be important for a case of PF, which the sock is designed for.At any rate, I recalled reading a lengthy review from an industrious customer who had been having a similar problem with toe pain and numbness. He had fitted his sock with a kind of rigid "insole", which allowed his toes to relax while his heel stayed flexed. And he said it worked for him. So I got a small piece of 1/8" masonite (roughly the thickness of cardboard, but much stiffer) and I cut out a piece the shape of my foot. (I actually removed an insole from one of my shoes, laid it on the masonite, and traced around it; then cut it out.) I then slid this semi-rigid slab into my sock until it was positioned where the bottom of my foot goes. Next I put on the sock and tightened the straps. Presto! Flexed heel with comfortable toes! After 1 night with the DIY insole, my heel problem is much improved.I still feel this sock is well made, and better than trying to rig one yourself with whatever materials you have at home. But that toe-flex pain and numbness was awful! So I really think someone should make one with a built-in supportive platform to prevent this excessive flexing at the toes.

A great solution except I have suggestions to the manufacturer.
The idea is so great and it really helps me not have the horrible pain you get early in the morning. I suggest to the manufacturer that the velcro be reimagined so that the velcro can be pulled tighter getting that so needed angle of the ankle.I am not a tall person and so I can not pull the foot up as far as I want as it is intended to. My fix was to pull it and rewrap it around the other velcro that goes horizontally. Plus the velcro is falling apart one string at a time and I have not washed it yet and it's not that old.Out of all the options this truly is the best one because I can sleep in it comfortably and still be in bed with my wife and not worry about hurting her since it is basically a long sock with a plastic running under the toes at the tip of the sock with a velcro to go around the leg and another to pull the foot up. It does not snag on anything if you make sure you cover all the hooks of the velcro. It has nor hard parts other than the D ring to pull the foot up and it does not hurt you or anyone you may sleep with. You feel weird next to the loved one but, I wake up pain free now and able to walk an entire day on my feet again with out limping.I am glad I bought it but really wish the velcro went all the way to the tow so you can have more options on how to wear it. Plus I'm concerned that the velcro is shredding apart and I suggest to make the plastic on the toes a bit wider so it gets all the toes in one try with out having to angle it. (Yes you can rotate the D ring and change the tension angle too) Ar first one toe kept getting loose but. I highly suggest this to anyone right now. Let's see after I wash it what happens. I'll update this later since I got this less than a few weeks ago.

Relief almost immediately!
So far, so good. After the first night with this, much less pain in the AM. After the 2nd night's wear, almost no pain. Certainly, the slight pain will come and go, depending on how much strain I am putting on my body (yard work, etc.), but my foot is so much better, generally speaking. Don't pull the sock toe strap too tight. It simply has to keep your foot at as close to a 90-degree angle to your leg as possible. The velcro is super strong; however, try not to let one velcro side stick too often to the sock itself, as it could pull at the sock and compromise the fibers. Attach the velcro 'hook' side to the 'loop' side, even when the sock is not in use. If I have to walk in the sock, I slip a thin, too-large sock over it to keep it clean. I informed my chiropractor of my success with this product, and he is informing his patients of my success. Thank you for your fast service.
