These floor grids are a life saver when weining pups . They pee they poop goes thru the grid and keeps it away from the puppy when in the crate . They last a long time and have a rubber coating on them to help with walking on for pups.

I purchased the extra large size 46 1/2 L x 30. 2 W (approximate measurements) to use for my two small shitzu mix & pomeranian puppy. The slits are close together so that little paws won't get stuck yet works great to keep paws clean away from urine puddles and poop. Hope my pups enjoy this new addition to their pee pad area. I elected to buy a used one that was offered and saved about $7.00 on the price. There were a few bent metal ends but did not affect it's functionality or use. Highly recommend to others to use as a grate on top of a stainless steel pee pad to prevent odors and mess on floor. Paws are dry when stepping off grate.

Although this wasn’t made for the kennel that I have, the measurements were close. I’m so glad that I got this. It took some wrestling to get it in but now I wake up to a puppy not covered in poop. It’s easy to put puppy pads in the tray and keeps messes away from my little pup. It came in a huge box but inside was only a portion of the box it was shipped in.

I would find his fur soiled from having soaked up all the urine. It happened a few times and I had to bathe him much too often for his health and my liking, so I bought this floor grate.Let me tell you it has absolutely 100% solved the problem!Now if he can't hold it in until I get home he can safely urinate and it all falls down to the plastic beneath. I put some training pads underneath on the plastic floor and cleanup is a breeze on the rare accidents. He even threw up one night, without making noise as my bed is right next to him and I didn't hear a thing. and I found the puke fell through the grates, luckily enough to avoid him eating it or soiling himself.I have a camera set up to look in on him and talk to him, so I can see that he is still a good boy and works very hard to hold it in, so hopefully as he grows then we will no longer need the grate.However, I will still use it because it also helps air circulate underneath him to keep him nice and cool. I can tell he much prefers to be in the crate with the floor grate compared to just the plastic floor. I can see him sleeping belly up (a very good sign that he is comfy and happy) with this floor, he was not as calm before because the plastic probably heated up as he lay on it.5 stars.Note it is heavy, the wire on the floor grate is much thicker than the crate's, a good thing since it can hold a dog up to 120 lbs I believe.Only recommendation to the manufacturer is to add some kind of support in the middle of the floor grate (there is none). The grate can sag in the center especially once the dog starts getting heavier, doesn't yet with my pup at 20lbs but have a feeling once he gets closer to 70 it may be an issue.Could not find a better solution so I still give it 5 stars!

The box came with holes in it and the shipping dates kept changing. I’m not sure if this is a problem with amazon or the company selling the grate but it was incredibly frustrating having the date changed 3 times (and it didn't even arrive on the expected date). Other than that, the grate fit perfectly in my Critter nation double unit cage. I’m using the cage for my cockatiel and it’s safe for her. The grate’s bar spacing is small enough that her feet don't fall. through.
