Sierra Club Engagement Calendar 2019 Calendar – Engagement Calendar, July 24, 2018

I've bought these Sierra Club spiral bound book-style calendars annually for many years. This is a high quality product with lovely nature photos on each page. I enjoy looking at the photos when I turn the page for each week and looking ahead. I find these have plenty of room for notating important dates and recording upcoming appointments / reminders. I love nature and like supporting the Sierra Club. More recently, they have someone associated w/the Sierra Club write an introductory article at the front of the calendar book. For 2019, it's an Iraq War veteran who heads up an outdoor program for Sierra Club, so that's a nice touch to the whole calendar.

I have been keeping a daily journal of my life in a Sierra Club datebook for more than 30 years and I couldn't live without one. Much of what I write is nonsense ("went to the grocery store in the rain") but if I didn't write down what I did, I'd never remember. Plus, now I can look back at 30+ years of that nonsense.The photos are fantastic (I'm a professional photographer) and they give me lots of ideas and inspiration. I usually buy several and give them as New Year's gifts.

What would I do without the Sierra Club Engagement Calendar! I've been buying this calendar for many years. I love the fact that it lies flat and stays open to the weekly page you want because of its spiral binding. The nature photographs are always colorful and beautiful -- a bonus you don't get with ordinary bank or business calendars. I also like the fact that there's plenty of room to write in appointments, birthdays, and other important dates. The calendar serves as a weekly reminder of events right around the corner or months away.

Every week brings a new perspective from a new photographer looking at another part of the U.S., at something big or small, living and breathing or growing or blowing, whether it's the weather or pebbles underwater, an antelope in mid-leap or geese in mid-flight, the photos in the Sierra Club weekly calendars are like windows accompanying the past to me as they face every record of my appointments, celebrations and runs. I've bought them for years and as gifts to your family you know you're looking at the same beautiful scene week by week throughout the year.

The Sierra Club Engagement Calendar never disappoints you. Each week you get a beautiful and inspiring photograph, from Redbuds in bloom along Bear Creek in California to a Green-winged teal floating serenely on water to a pair of Calypso orchids blooming in Alaska. The diversity of settings always keeps you in awe. For those who have not gone completely digital, and still use a desk calendar, this a fantastic one to help you plan your week.

I bought a 2019 Audubon engagement calendar when I bought this Sierra Club calendar. The Audubon calendar is better, has thicker paper than the Sierra club calendar, comes with a cardboard sheet to protect the calendar during shipping which the Sierra Club calendar didn't have, and the photos in the Audubon calendar are bigger and better than the Sierra Club photos. Some of the pages in the Sierra Club calendar are blank with a tiny photo in the middle instead of using the whole page.I buy an Audubon engagement calendar every year. I buy a Sierra Club calendar every three or four years to compare the two and the Sierra Club calendars are never as good as the Audubon calendars.

This calendar, which I've been buying for many years, has beautiful photos each week and is a way to contribute to supporting..."The Sierra Club's work to preserve and protect the planet." (as written on the back of the publication). I use this as an abbreviated diary to jot down significant and memorable events throughout the year and then, at the beginning of the new year, reflect upon them with gratitude and prayers.

I've been buying this engagement calendar for years! It's perfect for my week at a glance and plenty of room to jot down notes! The individual pages seem a tiny bit thinner over the years, but I don't mind it. The photos are beautiful!
