The photos show 25 cents, is this machine truly a free dispenser? If so how does it work, with a button or nob?

Hi There, Sorry for the confusion. the 608-1-Free does indicate a "free" operation. The picture is that of the $0.25 version (they look identical). The machine works mechanically by turning the steel knob. We are designing a push button mechanism as well that is scheduled to be released in 2020. Hopefully I cleared up any confusion for you. Can it function with mexican coins.

This model how it is set up is not able to take any coins and the boxes to collect any coins charged for the product would have to be install by you after purchase. It is a FREE Napkin and Tampon Dispenser. It was in amazing condition when it arrived and a great birthday gift indeed! I love it.

If pads are cased in plastic and are in a folded postions held with a rubber band, could they hence be placed in the napkin section of this dispenser?

Unfortunately it is not. The tampons/napkins need to be boxed or else they could get caught and torn in the vendor. Any Janitorial supplier would sell these boxed tampons and napkins. Regards, Frost Customer Service
