Nice product and idea. Unfortunately it did not butt up to my jeep cherokee with the tailgate open. It left a good 18-24" between the tent lip and back of the jeep. My husband built a ladder with a shelf that we could crawl over into our jeep. I, also, don't know if we anchored the tent correctly by the jeep because when we drove the jeep away and we had heavy rains that day, the tent fell on that side. It is meant to stay up without the vehicle being attached. We'll keep tinkering with it before we take it out on our first trip. I, also, have some concerns about the heat of the muffler with the tent going up under the vehicle. The tent was very water tight, the zippers are good quality. Water will collect on canvas between tent and vehicle, so when you do detach vehicle from tent make sure you have dumped the water from that area first or you will get wet. It won't be a hard setup once we get used to it. There are some finger pinch areas with the poles. The tie downs, if you're not good with that kind of thing can cause some head scratches. Fortunately, the hubby was a boy scout and it was a piece of cake for him with knots and strings and ropes. I just handed it to him and walked away.

I'm a big fan of this tent. I purchased for use with my Honda Ridgeline (with cap) and it worked great. Spacious and I can stand up with plenty of head room. Had some steady rain with no leaks. It is even possible to detach from the truck and leave standing. Reattaching takes some precision parking, but it is very possible. Solo set up takes some time, but is doable and gets easier each time. Be sure the mind the note about zippers in the set up, this will make sure they aren't pulled too tight or out of alignment, which will cause problems zipping. I was nervous about this purchase because I was unsure of what to expect, but I've been MORE than pleased. I'm excited to take it out more this spring.

This tent is a game-changer for multi-day group trips. It is incredibly spacious and makes accessing gear from the back of the car super convenient. I really appreciate that it’s a freestanding design; we could easily detach the car to drive around during the day and leave the tent set up at the campsite. Also, packing it up is stress-free—the storage bag is roomy and forgiving, so you don’t have to struggle to fit it back in. Highly recommended!

Me and my fiancé are both 6 feet tall and we could both stand up and still have headspace in this tent. We took this camping for the Renaissance Festival. We absolutely loved it. We had plenty of room for our full-size air mattress and enough room to walk around that comfortably inside of the tent. When the panel that is attached to the cargo area of the SUV is on, we were able to leave just the netting part open so we were able to get a cool breeze into the tent without anybody being able to see in I highly recommend this. It was easy to put up easy to tear down.

We ordered this wildfinder suv tent and it fit perfectly with out 2026 gmc pick up truck which has a smart cap topper on the bed. The stitching on the tent is excellent. The design sheds rain perfectly. The upright ridge poles are good however we have not used this tent yet in high winds. All in all an excellent buy!
