Love Love Love
I love my camera !! It is a really nice & affordable option for those who are trying to start their content journey! Perfect size for portability, and I love that it comes with the carry bag! The battery lasts for a while as long as you power it off when not in use, otherwise it’ll drain fast. Compatible and easily can download the gopro app onto my phone to import any videos / photos I take! Compatible. The gopro itself works perfectly, and depending on which SD card you buy, can produce very high quality images.

Nice, well designed camera
All the camera functions and quality works as expected, has a really good price/value offerings.Just note that the included bag for storage is not safe as expected for the lens... I recommend a third party case for better protection.Love this camera!

Just what I was looking for
The media could not be loaded. Great little action camera. Video quality is excellent and steady even horseback riding. After reading lots of reviews on this product and other less expensive models, I decided on this one. Couldn't be happier. No more fumbling for my phone to capture a photo or video. A bit of a learning curve between the camera and app, but I got it figured out

Very similar to the previous model, good camera with some caveats.
I had the original GoPro Max that came out in 2020 or thereabouts and unfortunately I scratched the lens on one side of the camera to a point where it is not usable for 360 video. I decided I liked the 360 camera enough that I would purchase the newer model after reading quite a bit about it and finding it reasonably priced here on Amazon. Overall the camera design is almost identical to the previous model. One surprisingly nice upgrade is the addition of a 1/4 threaded screw mount on the bottom of the camera between the traditional GoPro mount 'fingers'. This allows you to attach the new GoPro Max to a standard tripod adapter and various monopods, tripods, etc. that are made for standard DSLR cameras or webcams without the need to use various GoPro attachments. This is a big plus for me because I still carry a standard GoPro Hero 11 and like to have the accessories available for that camera whenever possible. This also works great for shooting 360 degree video on a monopod where the monopod will become nearly invisible because the pole is straight below the camera in a 'blind spot'.There are two primary uses for the 360 functionality on the camera:1. Making 360 degree videos that you can upload to YouTube or similar platforms where the viewer can pan the camera around and see the full 360 degrees of the videos. This is super cool but the video files are massive in file size and difficult to edit to some extent.2. Filming stuff from a tripod and 'reframing' the video to look like you were actively filming the action in the shot. Example: Placing the Max on a tripod near someone snowboarding down a hill and you can 'reframe' the video to make it look like someone was holding the camera and actively panning the shot to follow the subject. The GoPro 360 player for Windows (I assume also Mac) allows you to set keyframes from anything the camera saw in any direction. I also recently used this for filming a live music production where I needed to show both the musical act on the stage and some of the things I was doing at the sound and video mixer to run a circuit bent video show. This essentially gives you the appearance of having had multiple cameras in place when you actually only had one.I really love the camera overall and I would highly recommend it for anyone that is looking to add a very versatile tool to their video workflows. All of that said, there is a quality issue with the camera that persists between the first version and this version which is honestly really disappointing to me considering the purchase price and that is:The rounded glass over the camera lenses is extremely easy to scuff and scratch unlike the flat glass on the front of a standard gopro hero or similar camera. I've only had this camera for a couple weeks now and whenever it has not been mounted on a tripod it has had the silicon rubber lens caps on it and has been stored in the carrying pouch with the lens covers on. Somehow despite being extremely careful with the camera and only using high quality, clean microfiber cloths and appropriate cleaning solution on the lenses there are scuffs right in the middle of one lens already and a small scratch in the middle of the other lens. This renders some angles of the 360 shots unusable for reframing because the scuffs introduce video distortion on certain parts of the shot. It is less noticeable in 360 videos because the viewer can pan around and panning introduces some distortion while moving the shot around anyway. I had really hoped they would have either made this front glass more easily replaceable or significantly stronger glass by this point. I hope this camera makes it through a full year of use before it becomes unusable like my last one!Battery life is quite good (over an hour of filming 360 degree video per charge on my most recent use) but I don't recommend charging the camera while in use if you can avoid it for two main reasons:1. The camera gets very hot when charging and may overheat especially if you are filming in direct sunlight.2. If you don't use a right-angle USB-C cable the cable may appear in the shot to some extent.

Great and Versatile
So glad I decided to purchase this camera! New to GoPros and I decided to grab this one during Prime Day sales with two others to get full coverage for training classes. Whenever I’m training, this camera is always the one I go to first and I’m so excited about. Just really unique and fun to have in the tool box!

Where do I begin?
I am not a fan of this camera. First and worst, in 360 mode, the output files are in a proprietary format that requires an app to post process the video into a format that can be edited on a PC. This app will only run on a computer running windows 10 or 11. So in 360 mode it's a lot of work to get a usable video.UPDATED:After upgrading my PC to win 10, I find that the GoPro player is unable to export a video. I have spent many hours with customer support but at this time, several reps have admitted to me that many users are unable to export videos and it is a big problem. Customer support can only elevate the issue to the engineering team. They have stated many times that they will get back to me with a solution but never do. Therefore, I am forced to return this camera in favor of the install. This has been nothing short of maddening dealing with GoPro!The app for a phone or tablet is very buggy and after you get your video edited, you still cannot convert it to MP4 so it can only be viewed on the tablet.Customer support is non existent and the manual is not very helpful. Instructions for the app don't exist. In hero mode, this camera will make a pretty good video but the 360 mode is very hard to get a good video. This thing eats battery at an alarming rate even when off. If you charge up to 100% and leave it sitting on a table turned off, the next day it will be down to 30%. If you are using it, taking video's, you will be lucky to get 30 minutes before it shuts down due to low battery. It runs hot, it will get very hot when you are taking video's and sometimes, shut down due to overheating if it gets over 96 degrees F.Overall, this camera is not very user friendly in 360 mode but will take a decent video as a normal camera. For the price, there are better options out there.
