The REAL Southern cookbook!
This, my first cookbook, was gifted to me in the late 1970s or early 80s. I learned how to cook using these recipes and my copy of this book fell apart from excessive use. I know most of these recipes by heart but bought another copy just to have. You can't go wrong with Miss Daisy. Don't be fooled by those other Southern cooks. Saying, "Y'all" doesn't make it home made. This is the one to buy if you want Tennessee style Southern.

Fantastic Cookbook!
I have had my copy of this cookbook since 1978, the very first edition. Needless to say, it's pretty worn now although it's easy to find my favorite recipes--the pages just fall open to where all the food stains are! I am sitting here typing this review while the Tuna Cashew Casserole is baking in my oven and smelling so wonderful. I used to go to Franklin several times a week for a few months for work, and I always stopped at the Tea Room for lunch. Best quiche recipe ever! Good southern cooking, lots of great favorites like Chocolate Chess Pie, Oriental Vegetable Casserole, Dirt Cake, and so on. I'm buying four copies, one for me, one for two of my dear friends, and one for my mother-in-law. I guess I'll have to put post-its on my favorites pages in the new one so I can find them easy! If you like good southern cooking, get this cookbook. I wouldn't be without mine!

Great Tea Room Recipes
I have eaten at Miss Daisy's many times when she was located in Franklin, TN and then moved some many years later to a location in the Green Hills area of Nashville. Her recipes not only come listed with a menu for the meal, but are many easy old favorites that I have enjoyed at tea rooms around the South for years and made myself. I was pleased to find the recipe for a frozen fruit salad, which is always a nice addition to a Summer supper. If you like homey things that taste wonderful, this is the recipe book to buy.

Miss Daisy’s is a delightful cookbook!
This is actually a replacement for the first cookbook I bought 20+ years ago. Mine was so tattered and sad from years of use. Was so excited to find it in print still!

Recipes form Miss Daisy's Tea Room
This is just wonderful. About 20 years ago, I was in the Nashville, Tennessee area for a luncheon with a convention and several of us went for lunch at Miss Daisy's Tea Room. It was just outside Nashville, maybe in Franklin, Tenn. Anyway, the food was wonderful and I purchased the book, which is spiral bound and soft cover. The recipes are actual ones that can be cooked at home without breaking the bank trying to buy all the products to use with the recipes. The book has everything you can think of and REALLY IS USEABLE. I just gave one to a friend of mine who moved into a new house. She loves the book and you will too. I am not sure if the tea room is still there are not, but the cookbook is still going strong. Oh yes, the book has some nice things for entertaining too. It was a keeper 20 years ago and it still is! Enjoy!!

One of my favorite cookbooks!
I watch Miss Daisy all the time on our local Nashville station. She is always making things from this cookbook on TV. I love this cookbook and so does my family when I make this from it. I collect cookbooks and love to try new things. But sometimes things don't turn out and I feel like I have wasted my money. Not so with this one. Everything I have tried turns out perfectly, which makes this books one of my " go to" cookbooks.
