Use floetrol or pouring medium. Not both together.

Q: I am confused too, when do you use the silicone oil?

We had 3 people pouring. Smear silicone or any other base you want on your board or canvas or mix into a bit of your paint or dribble down your paint already on your board. There are no rules. It changes your final. Try it on the side to see what you like. It kind of separates things. Use it warm or cold.

Q: are you suppose to use both the floetrol AND the gloss pouring medium? Don't they do the same thing...thin the paint?

The pouring medium is gloss, as stated. Flotrol is not. So use gloss when you want shine and flotrol when you dont
