These panels are top notch, on the higher end of options available. I ordered two different brands, both around the same price and these are significantly better. The wood is real veneer and very well stained. The felt backing is thick and the staples attaching the wood to it are also high quality. I used these to cover an HVAC access door and air intake. I used these particular two pieces for the bottom and top sections of my project. The inferior panels were used on the door and had a terrible laminate fake wood pattern on them. These were easier to cut too. I found the best way to cut them was to do it by hand with a Japanese pull saw on the wood slats and then flip over to cut through the felt with a utility blade. I will buy these panels again, they are high quality, the manufacturer clearly cares about quality and using the best materials. They also shipped 100% damage free, so kudos to good packaging.

I love these modern acoustic panels! They are super high quality with great materials and great construction. This wood paneling is all the rage in newer construction right now and I love the fact that you can get this modern look with sound dampening at the same time. They are well packaged with thick plastic caps on the corners so they arrived with no damage. These are extra nice because of the acoustic ability. The thick felt at the back provides extra sound dampening and then you have raised wood bars on top of that which also helps with sound. The value here really is in the sound absorption along with the higher end look of the wood. Since I am trying to block sound in an aesthetic way, I do feel these are worth the price as other sound dampening methods can be quite costly. Even though they say these are 12 in wide, they are actually just shy of 13 inches wide if you include the Black felt. The leftover black felt on the end is the space between the next wood piece that you would start.
